Went to see the concrete boats (the breakwater) from the land, since we have already seen them by boat. Quite an effort but results are increased opportunities to see migratory birds and do some fishing – be sure to have a license and fishing pier...More

We are birders that stopped here for the annual Hawk and Raptor count. There were numerous expert birders there who were very generous to help us learn to identify the different species.

We just got back from a four day weekend to Kiptopeke again. Our dog Lily loves it there because they have a dog beach, plus a people Beach! We saw some beautiful sunsets and the weather was absolutely perfect!

Park and its location are great. Unfortunatelly, the amount and length of trail leaves someone to wish for more. If you are in the mood for a light, flat and nice scenery walk, this is it.

Loved going to this park. The WW2 cement ships were so awesome. Stopped in the camp store and she gave me a brochure about them. It was very interesting. Hoping to go back camping next year.

Great trails. Much of the trails are shaded. It was nice to be able to look out at the Bay. . Saw two deer. FYI you can purchase an annual parking pass at the office.Good for all va state parks.

We were there in Sept-Oct of 2017 and the temps were quite nice. A little warm in the tent, and there are quite a bit of spiders and bugs, but I would still recommend it.

Try calling the office, they have different classifications of watercraft and it may be season dependent.
