Best of Virginia
Jun 2021
Had another amazing experience at Pearmund yesterday. By far my favorite winery in Virginia: knowledgeable staff, great wine, great atmosphere and some very interesting history, like some buildings dating back to 1743. Just what I needed to escape the beltway for an afternoon.

Delightful Outing
Nov 2020
It's great!!! Six of us spent a couple delightful hours on the patio enjoying delightful wine and the beauty of the area. It's safely run and a great destination at any time you can be outdoors. Safe and clean and well sanitized. (Must be 21 or older to visit)

But nevertheless masks are not fully enforced. It's difficult to understand why is not family friendly due to covid claims but not following the main recommendations.

Fantastic Wines and a Great Place to Sit a Spell
Mar 2020 • Friends
A great place to go anytime and fantastic wines. They are nice enough to go the extra mile during the COVID-19 restrictions and stay open but are set up for all the social distancing stuff. I plan to go back again next week to support them.

Nice visit.

Plenty of parking. We used to own a barrel and it was a great experience. We’re now members of the wine club and enjoy our visits, but prices seem a little high and the specials of yesteryear are only a memory. Great place to bring a picnic lunch if the weather is nice.

Excellent experience.

We were a group of eight. The tasting area is very confortable and the wine server very knowledgeable. After tasting very fine wines we spend some time in the sitting area outside
Enjoying more wines and snacks. The teenagers played and enjoyed the outside.

Another good visit to Pearmund
Dec 2019
We stopped by Pearmund with friends, and enjoyed our tasting. Our pourer was very personable, and the wines were good. What else do you need?

Enjoy heading over to Pearmund Cellars for afternoon break, enjoy a bottle of wine and relax. Recommend a tasting especially with the dessert wine and chocolate. Also if you walk around there is a swing in the back area to enjoy quiet time. Oh my favorite wine is the Black Ops....enjoy!

My cell phone coverage is not too good out there so recommend hoping on their WiFi if you need to be connected.

Enjoy!

Disappointed after glowing reviews
Aug 2019
Four experienced vineyard travelers went to this destination and had the traditional wine tasting. Our server (Sue?) was most friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, we were disappointed in the small tasting room (with just a couple tables) and there were no stools for older folks to rest during the tastings. We had read several places how the Chardonnay wines were so exceptional (best in Virginia??) but it was just so so. They produce a large quantity and supply other vineyards with their grapes. We were actually more impressed with the selection and quality of several reds offered. The location is rather out of the way and there are no views to enjoy if sitting outside. With so many other outstanding vineyards in Virginia, and better Chardonnays to enjoy, I would recommend putting this place about the middle of your list.

Our Favorite Place!
Aug 2019 • Couples
We found this winery years ago thanks to a B&B in Luray. The wine is outstanding, and of course Tug is a favorite too. We are part of the wine club, and drive 4 hours round trip just to get our wine and enjoy the scenery. We are always welcomed and love it there, only wish they were closer to home.
