I visited today, July 4th, as part of my weekly run, but also to remember those that have fought for our freedoms. This is a great park. Sure, it isn't the most entertaining, but there is charm and calm to being on your own to walk the almost three miles of trails in both the trees and pasture, to listen... More

Bristoe station is a nice park for a short, undemanding walk. The park has no entrance fee and paved parking, with mostly unpaved trails. There are historical markers which tell the story of what went on there, but no amenities. The trail can be muddy or even underwater in places. It's a good place to have a few miles of... More

There are not the words to completely explain the peaceful setting of this park. There about 2.5 miles of hiking trails for a stroll with the family, with the dog, or just some time to think. The staff keeps the park in top shape and is extremely helpful. Also take note of the Eagle Scout projects that have been completed... More

I say this because I didn't get to explore it like I wanted. Found out that you really need decent walking shoes for this trail. If nothing else it makes for a nice walk. Plan to go back so that I can really take the time to enjoy it see things that I didn't get to see. The graveyard is... More

If you are looking for history, save your time and go to Manassas Battlefield. This park has markers for history in general but not much actually happened here. Fields aren't mowed very often so walking through not just tall grass but weeds and brush. Check for ticks and wash up for poison ivy if you get near any edges of... More

Little interpretation of the battle that occured here, but it is a nice open venue in a rural setting - great for a walk with the family or for some general quiet time.

It is hard to picture the horrors of war in what are now sleepy, and sometimes pretty fields and wooded areas in this park. The trails are well maintained and it's a nice place to walk dogs if the weather is not too hot. There is even a trash can and recycling bin in the parking lot now. I also... More

a few informative signs and a bit of open space, the signs do not provide much info that is not common knowledge for anyone with interest in the war between the states... suburban sprawl has pinched in and relegated views to the backs of innumerable homes

Not much going on here but TICKS. Plenty of nice walking trails with lots of history on trail placards that make it quite interesting if you take the time to read them. Very picturesque old ivy covered silo, cool old barn and a couple canon. Not really much else to see. The grass 15 or 20 feet on both sides... More

Not much actually happened historically but good descriptions of general strategies of the time. Park poorly maintained. Lots of poison ivy, ticks and overgrown fields. Path is well gravelled. Could be beautiful if mowed, nice area.
