This photographer is able to capture images beyond belief. Do stop by the gallery to see! My husband is an amateur photographer and he said he had never seen anything like it. Walls uses film, not digital, to get really large, mind blowing photos.

Benjamin Walls is a very talented photographer and has worked with National Geographic and other prestigious organizations. His studio is full of his magnificent photographs from around the world, mainly Africa and of African wildlife. A must-see talent.

My husband and I visited the Benjamin Walls Gallery and were impressed by the talent on the walls. The gallery offers landscapes, photographs of animals, and abstract photography. The abstract photographs of trees were my favorites. The photograph of the lighthouse is so detailed, you will swear there is an actual working light in the photograph.
The gallery offers many sizes for each photograph and will custom frame them for you. Unfortunately, no prices are listed. If you have to ask...
However, it is worth seeing because of the beauty captured in each photograph.

We went at 12:15 on 4/13/22 when the Gallery was advertised as being open. The sign on the door said, "closed for private appointment, open soon." Since I had researched and planned our trip to Bristol with other events and reasonably tight time windows. we couldn't wait around indefinitely in absence of a specific time of reopening. Frankly, it felt insulting. Why couldn't the appointment have been before 11 or in the evening? Why couldn't a definite reopening time been offered? I admit that my intention was primarily to look that day and not purchase, but we have on prior occasions made impulse purchases of art in 4-figure range,
Before you go out of your way to see this gallery, you better call ahead to confirm that they are in fact intending to be open to the public. What is posted on their website apparently does not matter.

The first time I visited this world class gallery in 2016, I was blown away by the works of art displayed as well as the friendliness of both Benjamin Walls as well as his very knowledgeable staff. I have visited the gallery many times since as the exhibits are always changing. There is no gallery anywhere near which showcases such amazing photography of exotic animals, unique landscapes, imaginative abstract images and delightful scenery. Much of Benjamin's work is captured in far away lands that many folks never have an opportunity to visit. A visit to his gallery will make you feel as if you have been instantly teleported to Africa, Cuba, the Smokey Mountains, Australia or a host of other destinations. Walls gallery is a great place to spend as little or as much time as you like immersed in spectacular artistry. If you are anywhere near Bristol, VA, put the gallery on your must-do list. You'll be glad you did!

I was overly impresses @ what I seen. This place looks exactly as it was advertised just 2 look at the photos this place looks so well put together the pictures R out of this world especially the ones that were taken in Africa. This guy has a special touch 4 photography with different animals such as elephants, giraffes and tigers, I was really surprised that he was a Bristol native and the tour guide was really good @ what she did so I would recommend this place 2 anyone and there is no charge or admission,

Benjamin Walls is an excellent photographer. His photographs lead you to get lost in the setting. He shows off nature in all its beauty and wildlife in its majesty. It is conveniently located downtown. The staff and Ben are very welcoming.
I live in Bristol and visit several times a year and always try to be there for his unveiling of his new work.

Well worth a trip. Beautiful spot. I am now unable to carry, per my spouse, any form of payment after my last two visits (purchases).

The exhibit at the Tennessee State Museum was my first introduction to Benjamin Walls and it was incredible. Upon visiting the gallery in Bristol I gained more of an appreciation of all that he is capable of with photography. I have never seen anything like it. A delightful time at the opening of two new pieces last Saturday. Everyone was welcoming and truly glad we were there. Definitely a place to visit if you are anywhere close to the area. Thank you!
