The park was fully utilized on the 4th of July weekend, but it didn't seem crowded. We made reservations for the zip line and had a great time. I was impressed with the quality of the zip lines and the safety of the guides.

We were a family of 3, but the secluded cabin could have accommodated 6. Cabin was clean, quiet, and roomy. Cabin includes fire pit, grill, and rockers on the huge porch. Bugs seemed to be minimized with the bat boxes scattered throughout the cabin area. It is a bit hilly for bike riding on the road, but along the river... More

We camped here. It was very nice! The RV campground is right on the river! There is a visitor center, and a beautiful overlook! The bathrooms and showers are very nice as well! Just be warned that there are chiggers in the gravel of site number 32. My dog and I were both covered in chigger bites, but my no... More

Excellent place to camp. The Rangers and the camp host are very friendly and helpful. Awesome trails to hike, bike and to get to the river. Nice visitors center. Many attractions close by to enjoy. We camped here for 8 nights. The first few nights were spent with many family members for our annual reunion. The rest of the week... More

Our family enjoys fishing and "hiking" here. Our last visit was to see the Blue Bells in April or May and we were not disappointed. The gentleman at the gate who we have seen numerous times in the Visitor's Center was great at directing me to the trail we'd need. He has always been so helpful in the center, answering... More

We went tubing on the Shenandoah River. Our excursion ended here. The facilities are very nice and family friendly. There were many families having cookouts and enjoying the river and beautiful scenery

I can't wait to go back and spend more time there and explore. We went to the riverside picnic area. There was plenty of space and places to grill and hang out, even on a busy Saturday. Just steps away is the river. It is clean, clear and very shallow in many places. Perfect for wading, splashing or swimming, though... More

Came here to stay a week in the rv campground, our first visit. The staff was friendly, and we found so many great things to like about this park. The sites - spacious with some privacy hedging around the sides. Bath house - has a coin laundramat, large shower rooms. Trails - well-maintained and well-marked, going into hilly terrain and... We went hiking here in late June, just out of curiosity. What a great surprise we had. We spent the day before on a 9 miles hike in the Shenandoah National Forest, so we didn't want to super long hike at this state park. We got a map when we entered ($7 per car during the peak season) and went... More
