This is a beautiful place to stop and has clean bathrooms as well. It has lots of history in the exhibits and a relaxing area to sit and enjoy the view in the back. The Love sign is pretty with the views behind it, and the rocking chairs are a great place to sit for a bit.

The Visitor's Center is in a nice, newish building, in a prominent setting, and has a great view of the mountains and the D-Day Memorial grounds out the large wall of windows at the back of the building. More importantly, it has tons of information about Bedford, the surrounding area, the State of Virginia, and even locations beyond the state. Well worth a stop at the beginning of your visit to Bedford or the area.

After our long trip to Bedford, the Welcome Center took care of all our traveling needs in a pleasant and helpful atmosphere. Interesting exhibits showed Bedford life past and present. A short D-Day documentary in the Center's theater was both enlightening and sobering. Customer Service Rep Robin Braxton served us served us coffee and suggested things to see. All in all, an excellent way to begin a visit to Bedford.

Very helpful welcoming staff. We stayed overnight on Site 3 with full hookups and #3 is not bad to level. Clean beautiful center with lots of information and informed pleasant staff. Gorgeous flowers all around the center with rocking chairs on several porches with beautiful views. Such a nice place to visit. Bedford is a place with a lot of beauty and pride and it is on show at the Welcome Center!

Very welcoming and informing staff the day we stopped waiting for Memorial to open. Bedford Fire Department has an interesting display and restored fire truck in one part of the center. Nice clean restrooms also.

I didn’t think I needed to go to the welcome center. So glad we did! Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice exhibits, 2 movies to view. One of the best display of travel brochures. Very well organized. And we took a photo at the LOVE sign.

We stopped by to use the bathrooms, but we found a great deal more. The staff was helpful and friendly and were honest about what they liked and did not like. We watched the two short movies they had and gathered a lot of good information for our stay.

This is one of the best visitor centers we've seen in our travels over the entire US. The friendly helpful staff can provide information on most places in the southeast with a score of display areas with brochures, maps and booklets and a small theater with movies on the local area and Normandy. In addition; spotless restrooms, a wing devoted to Bedford firefighters with their fully restored 1927 Seagrove firetruck(cast iron wheels & gold leaf trim), a scale model of the D-Day Memorial, gift shop, an electric charging station, picnic tables with a view to the memorial, and a RV Dump Station.
