About Flying Circus
The Flying Circus is the longest continuously running airshow in Virginia, and perhaps the world, with hundreds of thrilling performances over its forty-four year history. The Flying Circus Airshow features a host of antique airplanes including Stearmans, WACOs, Fleets, Cubs, Champs and others. Performances include formation flying demonstrations, world class aerobatics, death defying wing walkers, classic comedy routines and more providing an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Airplane rides are available for purchase both before and after the Sunday performance. These include open cockpit rides in the historic Stearman biplane, double rides for two in an antique WACO biplane, and kid's rides in the famous Piper Cub. Extreme aerobatic biplane rides are also available to the most adventurous spirits.

My wife and I took our almost three-year-old and he and I both loved this so much. It helps to have an appreciation of older airplanes, just to understand how amazing it is that these planes are still flying and the care that goes into...More

This was a day I had really looked forward to! The Flying Circus! It turned out to be one of the best days ever. Most of the day was spent in Bealeton at the “circus” grounds. The Circus is an old fashioned barnstormer show and...More

I've been to the flying circus many times and it never gets old. The kids love being so close to the airplanes and the general atmosphere.

We live nearby and have visited the air show several times, so don't pay attention to the next question about when we traveled. The acrobatics are a lot of fun to watch. At certain times they also offer hot air balloon rides, which my wife...More

This is a local grass airstrip and every Sunday afternoon during summer vintage airplanes are flown in for a show and to be displayed. It is quite a show and the entire family will be entertained. When the show is over the planes are lined...More

Finally saw the show I had put off seeing for more than 20 years, and it was worth every penny! Nice motorcycle ride up, with great parking in the shade at the edge of the woods and a picnic table to chill by, we were...More

This is a great family activity, something different to take the family to on a Sunday afternoon. They also do a hot air ballon weekend in August, great chance to see them up close. Also, if families are interested in a ride on the planes...More

I checked their website to confirm and yes you can bring pets, but they have to be leashed at all times, cleaned up after and they caution you that the planes and Pyrotechnics during some of the acts are really loud, in case... More

I don't have a motorhome, but on my most recent trip to the flying circus, I was with a group of photographers in a large tour bus. If you are wondering if the motorhome can make it in, the answer is definitely yes.

There are no stands. They have some chairs and some hay bales and parking is on the grass, but it isn't a long walk from the parking area to the spectator area. It is a ways to walk to the restrooms, however. A walker should... More
