We had a really good time and were impressed by the wine and the beauty of the property. The staff was friendly and the views were fantastic. We were in town for a stay at the Inn at Willow Grove and this made for a...More

This winery offers a broad tasting of many wines. They were all good and I enjoyed the reds the best. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Come, taste, your ruins and hang out.

Library tasting was different from the typical wine tastings. You get to pick 6 wines to taste at your table for $25. They're known for their Cab Franc which was actually well worth it! The views from the library were gorgeous! You can't take your...More

Ended a wonderful wine tour here. Huge disappointment. Crowded, unwelcoming feel of a cattle heard. The place smelled horribly if sulfer... Overpowering. Also fruit flies everywhere. Not a single fruit fly at any of the other vineyards. Tasting was very impersonal. They tout the Octogon...More

Enjoyed the variety of wines...small pours but many wines. For us the whites were preferred and we purchased a case. We also tasted the Octagon and treated ourselves to a few bottles....I would definitely go back

You can get some history, see some ruins and get some wine. Great setting and a good spot for wine and a picnic. Tony was a great taster and enjoyed talking with him.

I was a bit skeptical of trying Virginia wines since I hadn't enjoyed the few I'd tried in the past. Barboursville did not disappoint! We did the $10 tasting and were able to try at least 15 wines ranging from their Brut to dessert wines....More

I’ve been to Barboursville many times over the years and each time am stunned by how consistently fantastic their wide variety of wines are. There are a few experiences you can have on the property itself. There’s the general tasting, which can be a little...More
