Drove to the top then hiked the last .6 of a mile. Easy hike - we had a 6 year old with us and she handled it without any complaints. Climb the observation tower for 360 degree breathtaking views of those gorgeous green mountains!

If you drive to the top, it's pretty easy with some gorgeous views. If you hike it, be prepared for some epic down and up (1000+ feet per mile), but the rewards are beautiful water falls and awesome views. You'll have earned them! Bring a lot of water and a hiking pole to save your knees on the way down.

We hiked here in the fog and rain but had a great time. Would like to see it on a clear day. The tower is a short hike from the upper parking lot.

Hiked the Hang Glider Trail to West Peak, then on to the Summit. Climbed the Observation Tower and enjoyed the stunning vistas. Breathtaking views. Returned via the Slab Trail. Be sure to carry your cell phone, and put the Park Ranger phone # before hiking. I would also recommend a whistle and plenty of water. Elevation at top is 3,144... More

Went there to see the view and decided to hike to the summit. The trail is gorgeous. Wear proper footwear, not sandals. The hike was marvelous, tree covered, rocky. Went to the tower. Great views. Ample parking. Bring water.

My boyfriend and I stopped here to begin our trip to Vermont. We drove up the summit road and then hiked the rest of the way. The hike was manageable, especially for the both of us who aren't experienced hikers (we hike 3-5 times per year). The views were beautiful, even on a slightly foggy day. I would say a... More

We loved the hiking - four great trails to the top, we did Weatherfield Trail. Make sure you go to the top of the tower at the summit to see all of the mountains for miles around.

Drive or hike, but please, go to the summit of this mountain...OH...and take the camera! On a clear day, you will be treated to vistas that are exceptional. And yes, my Vette loved it...LOL.

We are experienced hikers, and it took us about four hours to get to the summit. The views were incredible, with various waterfalls along the way. This was a lifetime experience. Just give yourself enough time!
