I got one of these catalogs many years ago and couldn't wait to see it in person. So much fun! It is full of old time remedies and cosmetics and kitchen tools I remember my Mother using back in the 50's. PENNY CANDY! Who knew you could still get these yummy candies. Fudge, maple products, clothes, old fashioned toys. We... More

This is always a great stop. They have so many dips and candies and TONS of free samples. My kids have loved this place since they were little and still do as teens.

Located on the southern end of Route 100, this amazing store looks like a typical country store from the front, but is much more inside. It's quite large and filled with fun, cool and practical merchandise ranging from clothing to health and beauty products to housewares to food. There are dozens of food samples and many interesting one of a... More

Great variety of items both clothes and food from my childhood. There are samples of cheese, dips, cookies, mustard, jams and more. We were pleased to learn dogs are allowed in the store since it is illegal to leave a dog unattended in your vehicle. Our dog was a little hesitant to stay in the story because it was very... More

The store is a ball to explore, of course, but the walkup cafe was a special treat - clam chowder and pulled pork were exceptional.

Gayly painted buildings... Amusing place to visit and see the range of items for sale from local Vermont foods to classic clothing, old-fashioned cosmetics and difficult to find toiletries. Good for an hour or so, if you are visiting the Weston Playhouse, but many people will enjoy just visiting here and spending time going through all of their novelty items.... More

I never realized that the magazine represented an actual physical site. It was laid out much like the magazine but was much larger in terms of inventory. The old fashioned candy and cleaning products were like a step back in time. The coffees and teas were delightful and arranged so that they could be sampled as could the various maple... More

Fun place to meander & wander around, just be careful with little kids as there is so much to touch! My favorite us the food areas, where you can sample awesome Vermont cheeses, dips, sauces, fudge, etc...lots of cool vintage toys you won't see elsewhere..great place to browse for unique gifts. They do a big mail order business and have... More

LIke the catalog, this store has everything, but what makes it special was the way it was organized, into smaller shops of women's wear, toys, fudge, housewares, cosmetics, etc. Lots of samples of cheese and fudge. Discontinued products like TAB soda and Lemon Up shampoo. This has become a huge tourist attraction with the main issue being there is only... More
