From local residents to tourists, the Green Mountain Coffee(R) Cafe and Visitor welcomes all guests to the Historic Waterbury Train Station. After a complete refresh of the interior in the summer of 2016, the landmark uniquely celebrates Green Mountain Coffee and the great state of Vermont. Adorned with photography taken by employees during the company's annual Employee Source Trips to coffee growing regions, visitors are invited to wander through the rich, 35-year history of Green Mountain Coffee(R), take part in hands-on education about specialty coffee and the roasters' award-winning coffees, and enjoy one of the staff's coffee creations in the lounge, from artfully pulled espresso to decadent Pecan Pie Supreme. The Cafe is also the only retail store where visitors can find rare Green Mountain Coffee(R) blends like Tanzanian Gombe Reserve, and also mix-and-match their own variety packs from 48 different Green Mountain Coffee(R) K-Cup(R) pod varieties in the Keurig(R) Singles kiosk.

The building is cool as it is in a train depot. I found other venues like Ben and Jerry's and Cold Hollow Cider Mill a better experience but this one you could do if you have some extra time but I would not go out of my way for this one.

I was reading the previous reviews and the location was half amtrak train station, information center and green mountain coffee tour spot well they have a little history of the area and coffee samples on both counters. I like the maple bon bon coffee a must try. So this tour was the fastest it only took us 5 minutes. I... More

The depot looked the part and actually hosted 2 trains per day. The tourist information was very good particularly the historic walking trail. Otherwise it was a coffee shop!

This is in an old but refurbished beautiful old train depot that actually is an Amtrak station. There was a good deal of Green Mountain products available but if you want a sample, you have to ask for it at the counter of one of the staff at the cafe. We had read where others had been able to sample... More

The advertising brochure was wrong about the closing time so we got here a few minutes after they had actually closed for the day. The young woman was gracious and sold us several bags of coffee beans and cups of coffee. The coffee is really good, & it's great they are repurposing the old Amtrak station as their shop.

Stoppped by for coffee and a pastry. Thought there would be more on the Green Mountain Coffee. But it's just a coffee shop.

This is nothing but a store that sells coffee. Part of it was closed due to a sign that said renovations.

Great cup of fresh coffee, plenty of coffee, no long waits and kind staff. We enjoyed our roasts and wish we lived closer to try more. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby!

We thought there was a factory tour of sorts here, but the visitors center provides kiosks to order online and sells coffee, but no factory tour.
