Great view

Definitely a great view of Vermont and the surrounding area. Also a great place to hike through the woods. Be sure to pack a camera, you're going to need it.

Super, old school, cooperatively run ski place. The best instructors and groovy, grey haired lift operators. The food is really good and the ambiance is honest, anti-slick, but tasteful. Our whole family loved it. Super easy to park, get in, rent skiis, and be on the lifts within minutes.

Mad River Glen is an amazing place to ski. It's historic, the terrain is incredible, the people are great. If there's snow, it's not a place to miss.

I have been to Mad River Glen 3 times over the past 3 years. It may have just been good luck with conditions, but this has quickly become my favorite mountains to ski in the Northeast. They received 4 inches of fresh snow on top of already fairly good conditions on Friday, January 29th. The new snow filled in any... More

Imagine an untouched rustic (read challenging) mountain with great trailes and challenges for the skiier. There is a reason they say "ski it if you can" (trust me you can if you have any skills). But there is no commercialism, low noise and perfectly placed lifts to get you anywhere you "dare" to go.

Such amazing skiing, even in the spring. Old fashioned mountain with a nice laid back vibe. Terrain available for all levels of experience. Don't be intimidated by the number stickers, you CAN ski it (maybe not ALL of it, but there is beginner terrain available). The bar/restaurant is a nice plus. Nothing fancy here, just a good ole' New England... More

As an avid snowboarder and part time skier, I was a little skeptical about this place. But the people are very nice, the terrain is awesome and the pub was very laid back. They take their pride in skiing without being outwardly negative to riders. We had a good time.

WE went hicking to MRG and we had fun. Trails are nice and there is a few stop to do and things to see. Fun to do with the young family while waiting for the winter season!

We made it about halfway up the mountain, using a mix of service (dirt) road, ski trails and small paths. Will definitely try again!

WINTER -> Allow me to put my review in context and in perspective. Both my sons worked at Killington, both skied for their college ski teams, and both skied many venues in both the U. S. A. in Canada and in Europe. Whenever they could they came to Mad to ski. They love Mad. I confess to being a qualified... More
