We were staying in near by Smugglers notch, but it was raining there. Luckily I found Cady Hill online and drove over. It was much dryer in Stowe and the trails were in pretty good shape despite recent rains. These trails are right in the...More

We really enjoyed this hike! It is advertised for hiking and mountain biking - but seems to be more popular with mountain bikes. Trail switchbacks over a nice stretch of land with a nice view from one of the high points. Important to be very...More

Although this is a beautiful in town trail suitable for beginners and advanced hikers, it has been taken over by trail bikers. It is a single lane trail, forcing walkers off the trail and bikers to slow, limiting enjoyment for both

Smack in the middle of the village of Stowe, one can spend many hours meandering through tall trees and a landscape of roots and pine needles pristine of any trash or human meddling. Young seniors, my wife and I found the walking perfect for us...More

Was in Stowe for business and brought my Mountain Bike. I googled Mountain Biking and Candy Hill was close to my hotel. The area is nicely mapped with a great view. Bear, the trail out, is a great down and out trail.

This mountain bike course right in town is newish but popular with bikers, including locals who enjoy challenging single track. Moderate climbs but challenging descents for the older biker!

As I usually find at a new trail I don't know is the sing could be better for sure. There are butter smooth trails and very rough rooty trails not suited to an intermediate

We enjoyed walking through this serene forest right off of Rout 108. It was terribly humid but not very buggy at all! It was a lovely walk through a beautiful forested area.

This is an excellent stop on the way to Hill farmstead breweries. Not technical enough to be a 5 star MTB, but clearly an 5 star stop on a road trip. Would definitely stop again.
