This was one of the three trail systems we mountain biked on our honeymoon and I don't think I have ever had more fun mountain biking. Visiting from MD< these trails were fast, flowy, well thought out and maintained!

We were staying in near by Smugglers notch, but it was raining there. Luckily I found Cady Hill online and drove over. It was much dryer in Stowe and the trails were in pretty good shape despite recent rains. These trails are right in the middle of town and there were a good variety with some jump lines to mellow XC trails. The signage was very good and really helped as it was my first time there. I only had my rigid, single-speed bike, and it was okay here. the main trail head is easy to find right on the highway, or just roll over on the Stowe bike path. Definitely worth renting a bike and riding here! This is definitely a heavy area for bike use, so if you're hiking/running, just be aware.

We really enjoyed this hike! It is advertised for hiking and mountain biking - but seems to be more popular with mountain bikes. Trail switchbacks over a nice stretch of land with a nice view from one of the high points. Important to be very vigilant if hiking as bikes can come whipping through on some varying terrain.

Although this is a beautiful in town trail suitable for beginners and advanced hikers, it has been taken over by trail bikers. It is a single lane trail, forcing walkers off the trail and bikers to slow, limiting enjoyment for both

Smack in the middle of the village of Stowe, one can spend many hours meandering through tall trees and a landscape of roots and pine needles pristine of any trash or human meddling. Young seniors, my wife and I found the walking perfect for us - slightly challenging yet easy enough to feel like climbers (smiles). Bikers on the paths were exceptionally courteous and careful. Our only reason for 4 vs 5 stars was a wish for slightly better signage and a large park map and sign at the west side entrance to the park, the less steep option onto the trails. So despite getting lost and doing a few loop trails we hadn't planned :) we fully intend to try Cady HIll Forest again on a return trip to Stowe.
