Interesting look at the local perspective of skiing in Stowe. The museum has an interesting collection of skis, boards and other means of travelling on the white stuff. It also has an interesting collection of stories of local celebrities and sporting achievements. You will be amazed who has come out of this little town/area. Worth a visit.

Anyone that has an interest in skiing should visit here. It tells the history of US skiing and this is important to know how the sport evolved. And provokes thought of how you can imrpove skiing in the future....

Last year I purchased these unique hats as Christmas gifts and wanted more this year, but alas, they had stopped carrying this wonderful product. Hope I see it again soon in the museum store.

The history of ski fashion exhibit is fantastic. Many beautiful outfits and ties into Vermont's part in ski fashion history. The 10th Mountain exhibit is exceptional. Worth the $5 entry fee and the hour spent in a fun environment.

Small museum with interesting memorabilia. If you belong to the NSP or are an avid skier it is worth the visit. Really do not need more than an hour or so and that's if you listened the video and read most of the scripts.

We were surprised there was a not cheap entrance fee for this tiny spot and did not go past the entrance.

Current exhibit includes ski fashions over the last 80-100 years. Fabrics for ski clothing have changed. Technology has made a huge difference in our ability to keep warm and dry. Excellent ski documentary was playing on the screen. We bought a copy of the DVD so that we can watch the whole thing at home. Great display of chairlifts (hanging... More

We travel for outdoor time and don't even relish a lengthy meal in a nice restaurant let alone bring cooped up in a museum, but this is a great thing to see. We especially were impresses with the exhibit honoring the 10th mountain division- amazing samples of actual tent, uniforms, equipment. Awesome tribute to our veterans.

This place showcases to much equipment that's not from Vermont and that caused far too many ski-injuries (junk, in fact). The curators are way under-informed about the real history of most ski-equipment. Sad for a real ski-town.
