Try the gondola.

Truly beautiful. A bit pricey so look for a discount. Spend the afternoon hiking a round then have a drink at the restaurant. Nice day.

Stowe is by far one of the nicest Resorts in all of Vermont. Has a very nice up to date village with fantastic Vermont skiing. Hotel on site and great restaurant located inside. Adventure center for all kinds of activities. Golf and great swimming pool. If you are visiting Vermont then you need to stop into Stowe Resort.

This is the first time I have been back to Stowe since the early 80s. On that trip it was in the Winter for skiing which was great. This time it was in the summer. In many ski resort towns (example Telluride, Banff) the locals will tell you that there is much more to do in the summer. No different... More

We decided to take the Stowe Mt. Resort Gondola up to the top of Mt. Mansfield instead of the toll rd. and we were glad we did. It was a little cloudy on the very top of the Mt., but we could see the Cliff House where the gondola ride ends and decided to take a ride up. The cost... More

I'm glad we took the time to drive up the mountain - what an experience! The road is a little dangerous and twisting, I don't recommend going unless you have a keen eye and are patient. It's not incredibly challenging, just would be a surprise for a new driver. The views are breathtaking. Lots of hiking trails. Clean bathrooms up... More

We arrived early at 9:45 (ride opens at 9:30) to avoid the 4th of July weekend tourists (just like us!) 3 people, the toll road would have been $50, and a higher possibility of encountering flatlanders in huge SUVs, getting stuck along the way. Gondola at $84, but with a view, time to yourselves to hike and explore, and your... More

Stunning in every season, plenty to do regardless of weather all within a reasonable distance. Very convenient shuttle in Winter

Why are so many of the top ski racers and professional skiers from Stowe? The answer is obvious. This mountain, this ski area, its terrain, the grooming ... all the details of the on-snow product are super-astounding to say the least. This past winter when all of the East Coast ski areas (except Massif in Bay St. Paul, Quebec) struggled,... More

I love this mountain!! The front four is fabulous! This is a straight forward mountain, very easy to navigate and get around, unlike some other mountains that take days to figure out. The gondola is very convenient on cold windy days. A wonderful mountain experience!

The mountain is huge and there was a lot of snow and sun. My only complaint will be about the network it is impossible to buy tickets on line at the mountain. The network was not efficient. How ever, Stowe Mountain is one of my greatest experience of ski and the food in every restaurants are goofed.
