Country stores and Vermont go together. There are many, some great, and some not worth it. One time while in Stowe we needed something to do on a very humid day. Too hot and humid even to be outside. My dad had seen an ad for this country store. We thought it sounded good and a drive in an air conditioned car was welcome. Drove for what seemed like an eternity, got to the store finally and discovered we walked into nothing more than a grocery store with very few specialty products. The best thing that caught our eye was a giant box of Bisquick sitting alone on a shelf. Couldn’t stop laughing. Great memory though. The Shelburne country store isn’t one of those. Very large space chock full of candy, toys, puzzles, kitchen gadgets, clothing, Christmas items, the list goes on and on. Many unique items not usually found in retail stores. A great place to spend time

This is a hidden gem packed full of fun items. Much bigger than it appears from the front door. Nice variety of reasonably priced Vermont souvenirs, candy, snacks and unusual gift items. Not a tourist trap like some other places.

Shelburne Country Store is a wonderful shopping experience with creative and extensive inventory from gift items to their famous in-house made fudge and incredible maple creamies . I am a regular customer but during the coronavirus pandemic, I was able to order a gift box for my daughter for Mother's Day. It arrived quickly and beautifully wrapped. They also delivered an order to my door step for free since I live locally. This store is a true gem and an experience not to be missed once things open up again. For now, stay home and stay safe but feel free to order on-line.

A must see and many things are from our childhood. Purchased their home made maple chocolate fudge. Was expensive. Was delicious. Was a neat store. A definite stop.

The Shelburne Country Store sits across from our small town green and is a stopping place for tourists, kids on their way home from school, local gift seekers and anyone interested in browsing, shopping and investigating this jam-packed mercantile! Parents be warned: The penny candy display is right by the front door--Just try to resist those glass jars full of every conceivable kind of penny candy! There are Vermont jams, jellies, chutneys and maple products. There are Soul Mate socks, table linens, hats, pajamas, Dug Nap T-shirts and cards made by local artists. There are card games, coasters, marbles and locally made soaps and lotions. It is like the best kind of attic: old floors, fun surprises, beautiful finds, unexpected treasures and crammed with stuff. After you've made your purchases, take a maple creemee (soft-serve ice cream) and cross the street to sit in the green. After you finish, you can hit the locally owned book-store (Flying Pig) and locally owned toy store (Jamie Two Coats) off the same green. Only one downside: parking! That and it's a busy corner; kids need to be watched carefully. More good news: The Shelburne Museum is just up the street, too!

I love this store. Very old school, complete with penny candy. I can not believe how much stuff they fit into every nook and cranny. There is something for everyone. I feel nostalgic for my childhood every time I visit.

Every time we visit this area, we make it a point to stop in, and have never been disappointed. The store is fairly large, and has lots of cool stuff. There toys for kids, pocketbooks for the ladies, tees for all, and all sorts of housewares. Oh, and CANDY, and most importantly, GREAT FUDGE! It's a cool place to wander around for an hour or so. Nothing is outrageously priced. Lots of the goods are made in vermont, and all of it pretty neat.

We just happened to see a brochure on this store while passing through Vermont so we checked it out. Wow! The store has so many interesting things to see, taste and purchase. We must of spent over an hour in there and ended up buying some unique items. I recommend this stop along your trips through Vermont

Not as heralded as the Vermont Country store and easy to under estimate from outside, but this little gem is a wonderful spot for vermont gifts, vermont themed items, treats, fun and creative items, and even some practical stuff. It goes on and on inside, so poke through to see all it offers. Well worth a visit - I'll likely wander back to help Santa with some stocking stuffers!

Jam packed 7 rooms of everything imaginable! Upper end items down to things priced for a couple of dollars. Nice selection of Vermont products plus so much more. Could easily spend hours just looking at everything! Could easily be a one stop shop for all your needs!
