Stayed in immediate area but took my dog there for daily walks. Very clean, quiet, spacious park with campsites and restrooms and concession stand. Right on Lake Dunmore with wonderful swimming and boating.

We took the vertical hike to the waterfall and what an incredible sight! Well worth the short but uphill hike! Lots of other hikers, everyone talkative and friendly. A well marked trail and lots of little side trails for the more adventurous! Nice and shady...More

Lovely view of the lake, but off season there isn't much going on. Admission $4 adult, $2.50 child seems a bit steep for a small park on the waterside. Good toilets.

I think the closest full-scale grocery store is in Middlebury, about 10 miles or so north on Route 7. There's a shopping plaza with a Hannaford.
