Looking for something to do on a rainy non-ski day. Browsed two galleries of featured artists work and then was able to enjoy a free showing of a classic movie in a fresh, clean in-house theater. The under priced movie snacks and drinks were another bonus. Glad we had the opportunity to visit.

Always an interesting place with many activities available - some for a fee some not. Films, art gallery, coffee shop and many other things. Check on line ahead of visit to St. J. Many good evening activities.

What began as folding chairs (brought our own pillows) in rented spaces where we could watch foreign films,Catamount has evolved into comprehensive arts organization. Catamount's home,( venerable old Masonic Lodge), celebrates tradition of re-dedicating old public (ish) spaces to new public uses. The Met Opera simulcasts, educational offerings and galleries devoted to local art makers all contribute to the value... More

My husband and I have been members for 12 years and have enjoyed all of Catamount's cultural offerings: films, the art gallery, live performances, and film discussions. To have an independent cinema in town with two screens showing indy and foreign language movies is fantastic! I recommend signing on to their emailing list, or better yet, become a member if... This edifice, that used to be The Masonic Lodge, is the home of The Northeast Kingdom's performance coordinators. Because of their determination to make Saint Johnsbury a destination for people who value "the arts", a tremendous array of stars is presented throughout the year in a variety of venues throughout the area. We are blessed with talent in these mountains.... More

The theatre was wonderful. It has charm and history and the shows are fantastic . We drove up from RI to see Pink Martini twice, the prices are soooooo reasonable, and the people are welcoming . If you get the chance, definitely catch a show here.

Very small theater that is playing current movies at a very inexpensive price!! Even the refreshment stand was great! Highly recommend this when you run out of outdoor things to do!

We visited for a screening of the Oscar-nominated short films. There is an art gallery off the lobby that was interesting to peruse while we waited for our theater to be begin seating. The theater is quite intimate (read: small) but comfortable and there is a real sense of community among the movie-goers in such a tight space. Indeed, although... More

We are so fortunate to have this wonderful facility right in St. Johnsbury. The quality of films shown is outstanding. The films range from international to national to local. This fall we enjoyed seeing an excellent display of photos by U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy. These photos covered many national and world leaders from the senator's unique viewpoint. Because of his...
