We visited St. Johnsbury, VT while on vacation in Littleton, NH. It is about 20 minutes away.
Stopped into Maple Grove Gift Shop & bought syrups, pancake mix, souvenirs etc.
They have a little maple syrup museum with a video showing how it's made.
Delicious syrup & the maple taffy is awesome!!
The lady in the gift shop was so nice, helpful & sociable.

A little tidbit we learned upon coming home. We love Cracker Barrel & frequent it at home & anywhere we go on trips.

We have small bottles of syrup from Cracker Barrel & it is actually Maple Grove Farms syrup from St. Johnsbury, VT!

Delicious!

As a lifelong New Englander (except for a decade spent in Seattle), I've bought tons of Maple Grove Farms products in stores and at festivals, so I had to check this out. I bought some syrup and maple sugar candy and had a great time chatting with the friendly personnel. I wish I'd had time to visit the museum -- maybe next trip!

An amazing place to visit. A little shed with a video explaning the gathering of syrup from the trees leads to the store. When you enter, another seated area video section to watch the history and process, if you wish. An incredible array of Maple syeup products - too many to list here. Definitely worth a place for a stop and browse part of your day.

We drive from Stowe to see the museum and take a tour. The website said plan to spend an hour.... However they stopped doing yours four years ago and the museum was closed. At least we got cheap syrup.

maple grove has the worst syrup in vermont, its not even vermont syrup. Just a bunch of syrup from different states and canada mixed together. They make a bad name for vermont syrup.

We found a maple-related item for everyone in the family, including our dog! The historical video on how maple syrup is made was interesting and informative even for my 10 year old. Shop was clean, well-organized and stocked with a variety of items.

The Gift Shop has what you want to buy in maple; dressings, syrups, spreads, cookies, candies and maple sugar. As well as pancake mix, cake mixes, etc.

There are also cute Christmas ornaments (Vermont) hand-painted, and metal painted of the state t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and stuffed animals.

They also offer gift basket that you can order and a few already packaged and ready to go. I would just suggest getting together with others from the area and having a more balanced package. Cute to have so much of the same thing but perhaps some chocolates from Laughing Moon (Stowe), Maple Candies from you guys, etc... a VERMONT package.

There are samples of the candy and syrup when you walk in the door and an informative video playing, if you don't have time to go to the museum.

The ladies working there, think of your Nana, at least the day we were there, could not have been more helpful.

This is a little museum that explains the maple syrup process and has a fantastic gift shop with everything from syrup to salad dressings and any trinket you can imagine

We stopped at the Maple Grove Farms expecting to get a factory tour. It turned out that tours are not offered at this facility. There is a very small museum with some maple evaporation and candy making equipment. There's also a short video describing how maple syrup is produced. The store is actually much larger than the museum. There are some nice locally produced maple products in the store, but otherwise don't go out of your way to visit.

I enjoyed the sweet smell of maple syrup. They have a small area explaining how the process of making maple syrup happens. No longer a tour.

They had a great little shop that had a wide variety of maple products.

We were in the area and with that being said, it was worth the stop.
