The team at Rikert loves what they do. From the welcoming, cozy lodge to the beautifully groomed trails, they pour so much time and energy into making this a wonderful resource for the community. I loved skiing at Rikert during my four years at Middlebury, and I continue to love visiting Rikert to cheer at the carnivals or ski a few loops of my own. It has been amazing to watch Rikert evolve and improve over the past five years, and I know the staff will continue to make it a first-class venue and beautiful place to ski. Thank you!

We enjoyed two days of perfect cross country skiing! It was easy to get passes and the trails were well groomed. Friendly staff and skiers and all very Covid cautious.

I cannot believe I never took advantage of all Rikert has to offer when I was a student at Middlebury College. I always just passed it by on my way to the Snow Bowl, but recently discovered the beautiful trails, fantastic grooming and snowmaking, and how helpful and welcoming all the Rikert staff are to all the skiers on the slopes. Keep up the great work Rikert!

Rikert has a ton of well groomed trails, with good variety for levels of skiers. We've been there several times. Once we actually took a day off from skiing and rented fat-tire bikes - they have trails for those too! Staff is great - they know the place inside out and will get you on a trail that works for you. It's a gem!!

This is the nicest XC center we have every visited. The trails are wide & beautifully groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The terrain is varied. There are woody hills and open flat fields. The conditions were amazing on all trails we skied. At one point, we had to take a break since the groomer was out ahead of us. they even have snow making on one big loop. Amazing!
The lodge area is small but comfortable with room for your day bag and a place to eat lunch. They have a small amount of food available but I suggest bringing your lunch and snacks.
One recommendation we offer. This place hosts a lot of college and high school races. These races can bring in a lot of people. They were setting up for a big race the day we were there and I am really happy we were not going to be there on race day.
So, go enjoy the trails!

Our group often travelled to Lake Placid and enjoyed Mt Van Hovenberg... Our experience at Rikert was better. The trails are well laid out with few trails with steep climbs or descents... And rarely a steep area descent with sharp turns. Caroline at the desk was pleasant and informative, and helped us in every way. Gave us a great plan around numerous trails - great day!!

I have cross country skied across America, Alaska and skied in Russia. Rikert is a World Class layout of terrain, and is served by a World Class Staff. Situated in a premier Vermont setting the trails climb through a Maple Sugarbush and offers views across the Champlain Valley to the Adirondacks. The snowmaking assures season access to skiing. An incomparable experience.

We get a seasons pass and we always get way more than our money's worth, especially when considering the reciprocal skiing in Vermont. Last weekend was the best. Packed powder, super smooth trails.

Rikert is a Vermont gem. With beautiful trails, great terrain and welcoming staff, it is the perfect spot for all skiers. I've loved exploring the trails by skis and by fat bike! I can't wait for my next visit.
