We had a great experience renting from Wilderness Trails--a reasonable price for a decent timeframe meant we could enjoy our paddle and not worry about rushing. Easy and accommodating. Recommended!

It was a perfect day. They are very helpful and we spotted a few Eagles. Very cool!!! The river was low so it was not very quick, just right.

Heidi and Pete run Wilderness trails which they bought 2 years ago from longtime proprietor Marty. We took our 10 year-old son on a 3 hour trip down the White River in late August. We ventured out alone and packed some sandwiches for the trip. We meandered down the river stopping at a couple spots to swim. You will need to check with them on the water level in the river as it varies from year to year. A quintessential Vermont experience!

We took a mini-vacation to Vermont to enjoy some outdoor time with our almost 8 year old and almost 3 year old and decided to rent kayaks one day. Pete of Wilderness Trails was extremely helpful and accommodating. He was very honest and didn't try to upsell us into anything just to make a few extra dollars. He took the kayaks down to the launch and picked them up when we were done, all we had to do was paddle. We had an awesome time and would highly recommend him and Wilderness Trails if someone is looking to rent some kayaks and get out on the water for a few hours.

This is simple; if you are anywhere near Quechee and want to fly fish, call Pete Meijer at Wilderness Trails! Looking forward to fishing with him again.
