Since this was in easy walking distance from the gorge & campground my husband & I decided to go. More suited for families with young children. The birds were well cared for and described well. For us, who have seen many raptor shows, it was redundant.

There are some raptors you can get a good view of. The songbird exhibit was lame. They was a house sparrow - really several waxwings, a grosebeak and a cardinal. I have more songbirds in my backyard. Staff needs to take lessons in dealing with those who pay them. I am sure if you get in their face they will... More

We visited with our grandson during the winter and were a little worried that there would be limited activity, since the exhibits are mostly outdoors. Not to worry. They had a great indoor demonstration in a classroom where a raptor would fly over our heads and back again. Really cool. Lots going on outdoors with many birds of prey in... More

Stopped here because of the special events they were having on the fourth. Cool place with people doing wonderful things for injured birds. During one bird of prey show we saw, the handlers flew a Harris hawk through the crowd, once it was so close his wings hit my hat , very fun watching this regal bird fly. There are... More

This was nice. It was really cool seeing the Raptor Show. A learning experience as well as a vacation spot. This is a non-profit place that is worth the support!

The exhibits contain rescued birds or prey that could not be released. The raptor show is entertaining and educational. Kids will learn without stress. Not very large, allow about 2 hours unless your kids want two shows.

We really enjoyed the bird show. It was cold so they held it in one of the out buildings. It was very informative and entertaining. We then walked through the habitats and saw Eagles, Hawks and owls. We also got to see the baby birds being fed. Then we went over to the turtle and snake building and got to... More

The staff here really know what they're talking about. Great educational info, strong wildlife rehabilitation program and an explanation for the disabilities of each and every raptor that stays in their care. Not a zoo, not a circus, but an authentic rehab program with a tremendous commitment to education. A must-see in the area.

They have nearly all the common raptor species (hawks, eagles, owls) in captivity, as well as an enclosure containing numerous song bird species. All were rescues which due to health/physical reasons, cannot be re-introduced to the wild. They also rehab and release various birds if they are able to get them healthy enough to survive on their own. We don't... More
