Our group of two adults, one senior, and two grade school aged children stopped at VINS to explore this morning. Admission was $67 for the group. We saw everything there was to see, which at a moderate, un-rushed pace took 35 minutes. The various birds were beautiful and can be seen at close range. Each has a biography listed; many... More

We went this most recent time in a class field trip. My daughter especially enjoyed the birds are dunosaurs exhibit. We went back three times! It was fascinating to see the birds up close. Vins rehabilitates injured birds. The raptor show was very interesting and kept a group of first graders and their parents and teachers. Very interested. I have... More

We walked in and we thought the entrance fee was a little high BUT on the way out we added a donation. The grounds and buildings were so well-kept and the presentation about the raptors was just excellent and the 2 young people who did the presentation were so knowledgeable we were just enthralled. They stayed and answered questions as... More

First of all, I like birds, so take that into consideration. VINS rehabilitates raptors and houses those that can no longer live in the wild. Some if their residents have heart-breaking stories. VINS emplyees Nicole and Ethan, gave a fascinating presentation with 4 of their birds.

Presentations on raptor birds by articulate and informed staff. You will see about thirty birds, some are as interested in you as you are in them (BALD EAGLES!) VINS has an exhibit the details modern theories of how some dinosaurs evolved into modern Birds. All but a small handful of the birds at this location are injured and would not... More

We had an amazing visit at VINS. We got there late afternoon so we didn't get to walk the trails very much (no big deal since we will probably return..yes, it was that awesome). The birds live in beautiful big and well maintained enclosures. My son enjoyed their little scavenger hunt and we all learnt alot from the bird in... More

I don't know why this place is not rated higher. We went during a family vacation with our teenage kids and I would go back in a heartbeat. We saw the raptors show and it was amazing. The two trainers were great. The leader - Nicole- especially was amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable and super entertaining. If you are in the area,... More

Great presentations daily on raptors and other birds. I left with a new appreciation for turkey vultures. The birds are wonderful to view. Since all the animals are disabled, this is a great way to take care of them and educate visitors.

Catch one of their multiple times daily Raptor shows. See up close live birds of prey. Very interesting detail and a different bird each time. When we were there last time they showed a kestrel with the bird on the handlers arm. The Kestrel became very nervous. The demonstrator then looked up as we did and about 500 feet up,... More

My children 3 and 4 loved this place. I thought it was a little disappointing. The song bird and the baby birds were lacking. The nature's playground was also underwhelming. The raptors were really cool! The bald eagles are beautiful and very visible. It seems like they are also making some more structures near the baby birds and rehab center.... More
