We traveled to Putney specifically for Basketville. They have a large varity of gift items , baskets, wicker furniture, quilts, braided rugs and locally made wine for tasting. It is a tradition to visit once a year to pick out a new treasure for the house

This is a very large retail operations that carries a wide range of products from maple syrup, cheese, and wine to clever household products and furniture. It's a great tourist spot as small gift sizes of Vermont products are available. Seasonal selections are also stocked. Well worth a stop when you're in the area.

There is so much here that ANY individual will find NUMEROUS objects of interest. There are local jellies, etc; Vermont beers - GREAT ones; furniture; cooking utensils; furniture; toys; it goes on and on and on. The one thing they do not have is food, but that's only q100 yards away in very picturesque Putney. Sugur Houses, dairy farms, hiking,... More

Not what it was 25 years ago. Too much everyday stuff and not the Vermont made things I expected. It was the cheapest place to get syrup though If your looking.

Basketville was a pretty cool little stop in Putney. We came here for the Putney Mountain Winery tasting they do on site and I'm glad we did. We spent around 30 minutes here looking around at the incredible baskets, furniture, and other local goods they have on-site. We found some delicious cheese and the wines were all very good and... I went to Basketville, not knowing what to expect. Upon stepping into the foyer, I was greeted with the most awesome rustic bentwood rocker with the most comfortable back imaginable. Then when actually entering the building, looking up to the ceiling there is an amazing collection of basketwork animals - think 6-8' tall lobsters, giraffes, horses, a moose head with... More

This place has every kind of basket you need; prices are right and such a variety you will want to buy one of each. Certainly worth a stop if you are in the area.

We came to this store years ago and my husband fell in love with the bags of miscellaneous wood pieces for toys and crafts. We just happened upon it this year and he bought 3 bags. I got a couple baked apple bowls that have a porcelain "Spike" in the middle. Can't wait to try them. The store has décor,... More

We had a lot of fun just browsing through the store. They have so many different items: syrup, wine, jams, quilts and baskets just to name some of them. Wine tasting is $3.00 but the fee is waved if you buy a bottle. The wines were very good so, of course, we bought some. The baskets are amazing! You just... More
