We went when the leaves were peaking on a beautifully sunny and temperate day. The setting of this historic site is gorgeous and still so very unspoiled. Vermont is a very special place in the Fall - everywhere, literally - so the drive to get there is absolutely worth it. The information center about Coolidge focuses mostly on his life... More

Our tour bus stopped here for two hours and it wasn't quite long enough. We strolled through the grounds made even more lovely with the fall foliage. It was interesting to walk inside the home where he was born and notice all the little details including the quilt that Calvin made when he was ten years old. The parlor where... More

Plenty to see. Start with the short film at the visitor's center. Then a leisurely stroll through the park. We saw it all and were glad we did. Tried to imagine what it was like when President Coolidge was growing up. The docent are very engaging informative. Don't skip past them.

Visiting the Calvin Coolidge Historic Site in Plymouth Notch, Vermont had long been an ambition of mine. On a recent fall foliage outing we planned our day to stop by for a visit. It was well worth our time. There is a small but nice visitor center that offers a short 15-minute film on Coolidge. From there you can take... More

Your visit starts in the visitor's center where you purchase tickets and can view artifacts and watch a short film. The visitor center also contains a gift shop. You then take a short walk to the General Store where you have a friendly lady who provides you with a history of the store which Calvin's father once ran and you... More

4 of the top 5 things to do in Plymouth are actually all included in the admission to Calvin Coolidge's Birthplace, also known as Plymouth Notch. It is an interesting way to spend an hour seeing how he and his family lived 100+ years ago and to learn that he was sworn in as President by his father in his... More

If by luck as with me you get a sunny day it is the place to visit, historic, ideal for photography, and good for a walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Have to divide the time of the visit into three sessions. First, The Museum, depicting the childhood and life of The 30th President of United... More

Ah, to be able to elect a politician that you truly respect and revere. The museum is interesting, especially the video. But, the village, for me, is the real prize. The original buildings in Plymouth Notch help to give you a feel for the time and the culture, and the man they helped to shape. You can visit the store... More

Before stepping out of our car, my husband and I listed the facts we thought we knew about this president. Didn't take any time at all!! Three hours later, the list was fleshed out. Begin with the video at the Welcome Center and move on to the tiny village Coolidge in which he grew up and was inaugrated. Many buildings... More

We stopped by this preserved home and village going through NH and VT recently. We had come from Cornish NH after a few hours at St Gaudens national park (also worth seeing) and spent a leisure few hours walking around the small village preserved by the state of Vermont. There was a wonderful and modern depiction of Coolidge's life in... More
