This was a beautiful hideaway the view of the lake is amazing . We spent a lot of time walking our dog and sitting on a very well placed bench watching the city , the big church and the boats go by . It was so pretty we decided to stay two nights and were sad to leave.. everywhere we went in Vermont the people were nothing short of kind , friendly , helpful -- wonderful people . The state is so green and beautiful so many trees .

We've been to the lake three times, but never been out on the lake... yet. Great beautiful town on the Canadian boarder.

Great place for boating, sailing, swimming and meeting up with friends. You will love the Eastside Restaurant also located on the lake.

The lake was just a sweet surprise. After traveling through mountainous roads to get to Newport. Great spots in town to sit and enjoy its beauty. In warmer weather I can image playing in the water with it’s wonderful scenic backdrop.

We were staying in a cabin on the US part of the lake and couldn’t wait to get out on the lake. Took a very nice boat ride on the US part but didn’t have time to go through customs to go the length of the lake. Very quiet and beautiful with lots of little islands and great cabins along the way. Huge lake with lots of water activity options because it had so few people on it. My husband used a stand up paddle board and had a great time with no boats out making waves.
