I go here often. I usually ride my bike around the copious amount of trails or walk my buster. Great place for self reflection and meditation too.

Amazing that you can go walking in Hubbard Park and forget that you are in Vermont's capital city. The park sits high up above the Statehouse and its golden dome. Woodsy, with picnic shelters if that's what you want. Great to sit and enjoy nature, walk your dog, or go for a stroll. Well cared for without feeling fussy or... More

Was looking for some good places to walk when conditions on most of the trails were not so great because of ice. The footing on the Hubbard Park trails was quite decent and the tower is open year round (a fact found on tripadvisor when I couldn't find it on the city's web site). We parked on a city street... Hubbard Park is the same kind of oasis for Montpelier that Central Park is for Manhattan, just on a smaller, wilder scale. Great trails, open meadows, picnic sites -- some with outdoor cooking amenities. The Hubbard Park Tower is a great place to see 360 degrees of central Vermont. Great for children, dogs, families, hikes, cross-country skiing.

Loved the view from on top of the tower in Hubbard Park. Hike up from the meadow takes some time and effort or drive close by going up Terrace St. Leaves everywhere, wear good shoes for the rough roadway up. Nice place for a picnic on a warm day.

The car ride up is a bit intimidating and it was hard to park. Beautiful view although we did not make it all the way to the top.

its a nice short climb less than 1mile. view is nice. not the best but nice. 3.5 stars. built as a destination place. Lots of Dogs as it kinda is the spot for dog lovers to walk their pooches in the area.

Hubbard Park has lots of trails; you can choose a quiet walk through the trees and over the brook, or take the old fire road up the hill to the tower and catch a view from the top. Kids love to muck around in the frog pond by the Summer Street entrance. There are a couple of picnic shelters, some... More

Beautiful and clean forested area. A bit of warning about getting to the tower: the paths are not well marked and it is easy to get lost. We were lucky enough to have a local point us in the right direction, but otherwise we would not have found it. The tower offers a pretty view of the mountains, but it's... More
