This great park has everything, from swimming, to ball fields, walking trails and a dog part - we were there for the dog park. Big, clean, and a good place to let ours off leash

This is a fine public park in Manchester Vermont, with plenty of free parking. It has ball fields, soccer fields, a pool, equipment for children on a playground, skateboard ramps and a fine walking trail that circles the park. The trail is flat, about six feet wide and a mile in length. Along the way are quarter mile markers. And,... More

Very nice park. Nice walking trails, dog park. While we were there a college soccer game was going on, so it was a little noisy, but I don't think that was the usual. Sure we'll return.

Hi Paul D, We did have a college soccer game, a D-1 game UVM vs, UMass, on August 10. Sorry for the noise. It's not a regular thing at the Park. Hope you'll come back on one of out typical quiet Vermont days. John OKeefe Town Manager More

Thompson park is among the best maintained and most scenic parks in all my travels. A highlight for me was the smooth stone dust walking/running trail around lush green ballfields. The path has connections to the nearby school and town center, the Palmer House resort's nature trail, and a woodsy connecting path to Hunter Park/Riley Rink. A great facility!

There's something for everyone here. The walking/running trail encompasses the entire park. There are basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, swing sets, pool ($) and other children's activities. Also an enclosed Dog park in the back corner of the park where we can let the dogs run free! Perfect for the active family/person. No charge to use the park (small... More

Great place for families to picnic, play baseball, basketball or volleyball. The running track surrounding the park is great for walking or jogging. The dog park is great as well.

Whether you want to ice skate, swim, walk....or other stuff (skateboard, play ball, watch soccer, etc.), this is a great resource in Manchester. We use it year round. We love walking the trails in all seasons, and use the pool a lot in the summer, as well as public skate in the winter. Free, or very cheap, Check it out.
