The BEST farm experience! Loving farmers take so much care and pride in their relationships with the animals and educating us about them. When you take a tour you get to be hands on with so many animals (the babies were my favorites!) that you otherwise would only be able to look at. The Farm Store sells their own milk, cheese and eggs plus food by other local vendors. A must-do in the Manchester area!

My family and I visited North Meadow Farm while leaf peeping in VT. The farm has a menagerie of animals including chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, sheep, rabbits, alpacas, goats, rabbits, etc. Our guide walked us around the farm and allowed us to pet and handle the various animals, while answering questions about them. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he took his time. Highly recommended for all, especially families with younger children. The farm also sells fresh eggs, milk, cheese, etc.

We had an amazing time on the tour (2 adults)! We got to learn loads about the animals and their personalities and see so much of a working farm. We got to pet/feed the majority of them, which was brilliant. The owners genuinely care for the animals. It's more than just a job for them. There's also a big play park for younger kids that they all seemed to enjoy. We didn't buy anything from the store but it did seem really popular with other visitors. Please go visit the guys if you're in the area, you won't regret it.

North Meadow Farms provides a very hands-on experience, unlike any at other farms I’ve been to before. The animals are accustomed to humans, so visitors are allowed to enter some pens and interact with the animals directly. They’ve let us pet chickens and full-grown pigs. Smaller animals are allowed to be held. We’ve even held a warm, freshly laid, hours old egg in our hands. Early spring seems like a good time to visit when the babies start to appear. Baby goats and lambs were around in early April. Calves were already there for at least two weeks prior. Piglets are due in the later half of the month. I really liked this farm and highly recommend it to all visitors.

Everyone at North Meadow Farm was incredibly kind and gracious, we had a great time both in the store tasting cheeses and chatting with the owner as well as touring the farm. From opening up a new rind so we could taste test it with them to providing local recommendations, they could not have been more thoughtful (and the cheese is great!). Lily was incredibly knowledgeable and fun taking us around to see the farm, we had a blast learning about the different animals and getting to pet and hold them. What was an impromptu stop turned into one of the highlights of our trip — cannot recommend this local farm enough!

We visited with a group of 9, adults kids and teens. The guild was nice, he seemed a little low on energy. One of the goats charged one of the youngest members in the group upon entering the pen. The guide just shrugged it off, the the same goat started jumping on and trying to eat another members jacked again the guide just shrugged. There were lots of animals to interact with which was great. The pens were full of animal droppings and the area was generally run down and dirty. The turn off for me was the two very large rats running about the pig pen during mid-day. I grew up on a working farm and we’ve visited several farms. This was definitely not a very well run or presented farm. The shop smelled awful and had several house flies so we didn’t buy anything. It might be better in Summer when the animals are not in pens.

Hello, my name is Lysa. I am one of the owners of North Meadow Farm. I want to express that every review given, good, bad, or disappointing is important to us. I want to take this opportunity to say, I apologize for your disappointment. All of our tour guides are amazing and careful. Most of them are volunteers and work very hard to present the farm they love so much with the utmost care and responsibility for our guest. As for manure in the outside paddocks? Animals poop! We do our best to clean the outside paddocks weekly, but, when it rains, it does become muddy and more difficult to remove every piece of manure. As for the pole barn pens, they are cleaned daily, always. As for the rodents? What and how can I not be blunt? We are a working farm and we have predators. This year many farms have experienced this problem. We are doing our very best to keep it under control on our 25 acres of farm land. But Mother Nature can sometimes be difficult to completely expose of all rodents. As for being run down or broken? We are not a museum farm. We are not backed my donations or government funding. We are working this farm by our own means and finances. We are a real working farm trying to keep our heads above water to supply our community with good food, entertainment, and education about real working farms and the people behind the food you so enjoy. As for the store? We clean and sanitize our store daily but again, we are on a farm full of unpleasant smells. All of our products are sealed and in coolers. The flies? Really? Did you not see the fly traps? Again we are trying to control Mother Nature. Maybe what you were smelling is vinegar cleaner. We try to stay as natural as possible. We use a vinegar based product to clean with and sometimes even I don’t like the odor it leaves behind. I’m also happy to hear you grew up on a working farm. So you must understand all I am saying. I invite you back and I would love to be your tour guide. There is so much to tell you about this magical little farm you stumbled upon.

This was so much fun! They let you get right in there with the animals, and our guide, Ben, was extremely knowledgeable and patient. It was a great experience and our guests from Florida said it was the highlight of their trip to Vermont. From now on, we will bring all our out of state visitors for this tour. It was an awesome day!

Well off the beaten path, this farm was worth the drive. We took our grandchilrdren, (8 and 3) who were delighted to pet the goats, feed the chickens, snuggle the baby bunnies, and hold young chicks. Lisa was patient and shared lots of information that was interesting to all of us. After touring the farm, there was time to play on the playground, and we took home some delicious oat biscuits.

Super fun experience! I went with my adult children and three young ( under 3) grandchildren. Everyone had a great time! It is a real working farm too. Chickens galore, cute mini donkey, goats, sheep, alpacas and pigs. The cutest bunnies we could take out and pet. Farm volunteer Ben is a true rabbit whisperer and we learned so much from him. Jesse- the owner- told the kids all about the cows and we were there at milking time. Baby calves are imminent by the way - so a return trip a must. We bought the most delicious cheese from the well stocked Farm Store. We all agreed it was an experience to be repeated!

We spent a wonderful morning here with our three children and some friends. The farmer who gave us our tour was incredibly thoughtful and generous with his time and the kids were totally delighted by petting the baby animals (3-day old lambs!). They have a great playground and plenty of space for a picnic or a stroll too, and the farm store was filled with delicious local bites. Highly recommend this lovely family farm, especially with kiddos.

Wow! We stopped on a whim and had a fantastic experience. Our tour guide is so passionate about the animals, which are mostly rescued. We fed alpacas, held turkey chicks, and were inspired by the passion and dedication to making sure the animals are as cared for as possible. Lots of delicious treats to be found in the store too. A must visit!

Awesome time. Coming from NYC, hadn't gotten to pet farm animals since I was a little girl. Everyone was so welcoming. As a photographer, totally enjoyed photographing all the animals. The property was beautiful as I stayed for about 3 hours in later afternoon and the lighting kept changing. The animals were happy and healthy and actually some of them were rather friendly. At the very end, purchased the freshest eggs, best cheese and a few other things. If they had rooms for rent, I would go there for a month. Totally recommend North Meadow Farm and can't wait to go back.

This farm is a must-go if you are in the Manchester area - for adults and children alike! It is a beautiful place for the soul. The staff and volunteers are compassionate, knowledgeable, fun people who love what they do. Make sure to take a farm tour to get the inside scoop on the animals, farm life, hold bunnies, and meet all of the cows, pigs, goats, turkeys, alpacas, donkeys, chickens, and more! Nine year old Ben S is fantastic! After the tour, stay for some local ice cream, hang on the picnic benches and play at the playground, and shop the local products (most notably the farm-made milk, cheese and other treats). Enjoy!

What a fun afternoon! The owner, Lysa, was so personable and her story is inspiring! We really enjoyed her cheeses and getting to know all of the animals on the farm. Good Golly Miss Dolly was my favorite cow. This will definitely be a must visit next time I am in Vermont.
