The winding drive and outdoor art exhibits create a beautiful setting. The main gallery had wonderful exhibits of local artists. Unfortunately, the museum was closed so the whole visit took less than 1 hour which was less than expected -- particularly after a 1/2 hour drive to get there.

It was a joy to spend a couple of hours at this lovely facility. A walk through the beautifully maintained pasture with its large sculptures was followed by a leisurely stroll through the main gallery. A real highlight was an adjoining gallery, with an amazing display of glass art. Highly recommended.

My wife and I went to the Art Center to enjoy a nice lunch at Cafe Sora. And the lunch at the cafe was just perfect. Beautiful setting, friendly staff and great service. Food was authentic, delicious and presented nicely. I even enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot Noir. This cafe is definitely worth the visit as part of your... More

The Arts Center is kind of tucked away from town proper in a quiet, leafy setting. When I was there, in addition to the more typical array of art exhibits one would expect, there was a photography exhibit showcasing photos by Senator Patrick Leahy. Not only were they well executed photographs, they were fascinating because they illustrated the Senator's extensive... More

By way of full disclosure, I must say that I was a Board member here for many years. It is a beautiful spot high above the Manchester West Road-an old private estate which became an art sales and viewing site through the efforts of local artists some years ago. A perfect site for weddings and other celebrations. Has four to... More

Overall rating would really depend on what is showing. We were there this weekend for the "members" show, which was so-so, but the grounds are great, the Center well maintained, and the overall experience fun. If you are really serious about art, it would matter a lot what's showing. We spent about an hour there, walking around included.

Visited the SVAC for the first time with my girlfriend today and we greatly enjoyed our time there. The drive up the long winding road with sculptures along the way was a fun way to start the experience. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and spent around one hour viewing the current member exhibition. It was a Thursday afternoon... More
