My teenage son asked us to mt bike on our vacation so we stopped in Ludlow. He really enjoyed the bike park. It has two main trails with many small paths splitting off. It has some small jumps with two larger jumps, a few bridges. During the week, there was no one there - on waiting! He spent 1.5 days going up on the lift and coming down fast-fun!

We were visiting Vermont and made sure to spend a half-day at the Okemo Evolution Bike Park. For 4 hours of biking in the afternoon--including a bike rental, helmet, and lift ticket--it costs $60 for adults, and $45 for kids ages 7-12. The bike park is well worth it!

We arrived at the Okemo Village and quickly got a bike rental. Within about 10 minutes, we were at the lift that takes you to the top of the bike trails. There are two friendly employees at the bottom and the top of the mountain who will help you load and unload the bikes.

As of the 2015 summer season, there are two trails from the top of the mountain, but they branch off into different trails. "Green Mile" is a beginner trail, while "Flow Rider" is a more advanced trail. If you're on "Green Mile" the trail splits, and you can either continue "Green Mile," or head down "Catamount." We tried most of the trails and they were all fun.

If you're an advanced rider, the Okemo Evolution Bike Park is a new bike park, so there aren't any black-diamond trails, yet, but we think in a few years there will be some harder trails.

We recommend starting off with "Green Mile," then "Catamount," and then trying out "Flow Rider" and some other blue trails. When we were there, on a Monday afternoon, the park was very quiet and empty, and we didn't see anyone else on the trails we were on. (So don't worry if you're going slow on the trails.)

All the employees we came across were very nice, and we really enjoyed our time at the Okemo Evolution Bike Park. If you're in the Ludlow area and feel like trying out something fun and exciting, we recommend visiting the bike park. Whether you're a beginner or advanced rider, you will have fun riding the trails. Shred on!

As rookies we were apprehensive about mountain biking for the first time but we needn't have worried. We took a lesson and had great support and advice from the instructor. There are limited trails at the moment but there are plans to extend in the future. We hired the bikes and equipment from Evolution bike park. We got excellent help getting the bikes on and off the lifts. In all It was all a great experience.

We checked the Evolution Bike Park website both last night and this morning to make sure it was open and operating - the calendar stated it was open 9/28 10:30-5pm and there was no evidence of a closure anywhere. We traveled 2 1/2 hours from Mass only to arrive and find locked doors at the Evolution Bike Shop at the Sugar House and no running lifts. We called the number listed on the website multiple times - there was no answer and no phone message stating an early closure. We also called guest services and they too had no idea as to why it was closed. To make it worse we went to a local ski and bike shop and they told us that this same situation has happened to other people multiple times this year alone. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and professionalism with this company. We won’t be making the long trip back.

My husband and son loved this. They got a two hour pass and rented bikes. It was pricey but worth it. My son can’t wait to go back.

Enjoyed the quality and diversity of trail riding. Great with the expansion of the new top to bottom trails. Premium "Scott" bikes for rent ensure you have the right equipment for the mountain.
