After spending last summer searching for Vermont's best maple creemee I thought first place was the tie was between Morse's in Montpelier and Abbi's in Danville. Good News! This year's research has added Green Mountain Sugar House in Ludlow and made this a three way tie for THE BEST! Criteria include balance of flavors (cream to maple), texture and cone... More

Typical Vermont tourist stuff. But....you MUST stop for a MAPLE ICE creme cone. It's worth the trip. And pick up a Vermont refrigerator...why not.

Good local Vermont gift store, not amazing, but offers some great locally produced food. They could entice you with a couple of sample testers. Ice Cream with Maple syrup is fantastic. Sit our overlooking the lake as a pleasant stopping off place on your travels.

Love his place. They have small bags for kids for candy. Purchase by the pound. Great items to purchase as gifts or even for self. A lot of different items. Great atmosphere.

It was out of the way from where we were staying, but decided to take a ride since it was given such a high review on Trip Advisor. I thought it was a typical gift shop in Vermont. I got the ice cream for my 4 year old daughter which she enjoyed. I tried it, but I'm glad I didn't... More

Ok so my wife and I are not from Vermont but every time we talk about visiting New England it isn't long until we start talking about maple creemee and the best ice cream of our lives. We arrived near closing, sorry about that by the way, and came in to look for a spell to find a very quaint... More

This store sells maple syrup made on premises. The storekeeper was more than happy to let us sample the syrup and tell us about the nuances between the different syrups. We bought a few to bring home and enjoy for future breakfasts. We had a late breakfast, so, we were not able to partake in the maple soft serve ice... More

They have everything you could want to take home as a souvenir, not to mention the incredible soft serve maple syrup ice cream. Even if you don't get anything else you HAVE to try it. The older woman who was working the day we visited (10-29-15) was unbelievably sweet and helpful and a delight to talk to. I needed to... More

I was very excited to learn about this sugarhouse and planned my VT visit around it. While it was not the season for making the syrup, you can still go down in the basement area and see the process and machines with signs walking you through. I shipped several bottles of syrup home. This is small facility but open year-round.
