We visited the lake hoping to see a lot of wildlife and in that we were a bit disappointed. Certainly, there were a lot of aquatic fowl, but we wanted to see moose. We think that as it became dusk that we heard some moose...More

This is a great little spot, perfect for fishing and hiking. It's also a nice place to go swimming during our (rare) warmer months.

We started at the public parking lot and enjoyed picture like lakes on both sides of the walk, then decided to take the shorter trial around Leffert's pond on the right hand side. Initial walk remains enjoyable, until we reached places where we needed to...More

Went kayaking here in mid-summer. Gorgeous, 100 acre, crystal clear lake -- no motor craft allowed. Best part: the serenity and quiet -- the entire place is a nature reserve -- no homes at lakeside, just natural trees, beaver dams, and birds of all types....More

Not sure why there is no entry for the Chittenden Reservior, and I don't try to do them anymore because Tripadvisor just lets them sit unchecked months sometimes before being entered, so this review is about Chittenden and Lefferts. I arrived up the drive at...More

We did a hike around this pong and it really was not marked well. We had to turn around because we were unsure of where we would end up. Overall though, the start of it was rally beautiful.

we enjoyed our visit to Leffert's pond. We did a bit of fishing (did not catch anything but we all enjoyed ourselves anyway) hiked the trails a little bit and because it was really hot and muggy, we took a dip in the lake. The...More

We went on a group nature hike here and saw plenty of wildflowers, birds, and even a few salamanders. It's a lovely place without many people. If you have a canoe or kayak, it would be a good place to spend an hour or two....More
