My wife and drove out to Johnson Woolen Mills today (15 minutes from Stowe) to check out their hand made clothes. We were so impressed ! The quality of the clothing, the size of their showroom, the variety in their assortment of clothing is incredible. As we entered this little "hamlet", the store and factory are on the right. We... We stopped by the store on the way to Stowe and found a very lovely store filled with lots of sweaters, flannel shirts and scarves. In Vermont, you need well made wool sweaters especially when it's minus 15 degrees. I bought 3 sweaters and received lots of complements from my co workers back at home. The factory is right behind... More

Every time I visit the woolen mills here I always find something unique and top quality for a reasonable price. I have purchased two woolen sweaters (with zippers) in the past few years and they have held up very nicely. This trip I purchased a "knitted" poncho and am very pleased with it. It is a unique green and is... More

Large variety of local made, quality woolen clothing and home items. We were fortunate to visit during their summer sale. The best part of this mill store was the heavy weight wool that was available for purchase by the yard. Plan to visit again next year.

What a neat place if ya like plaid! Was great to see that there are a few things left that are made in the USA. I think they should have only their products for sale, I did see some things made in other places I hate to mention. Great place to purchase quality clothing.

This place sells quality products. If you are looking for a consummate Vermont souvenir in, invest in a blanket or 3.

Johnson Woolen Mill Outlet Store sells top quality and, therefore, higher priced merchandise from there factory, as well as from Pennington and Woolrich. These are not kmock-off products found in Walmart. As to dealsI found a very nice Pennington shirt and a Johnson Woolen shirt at 40% and 20% off, respectively, of what I've seen priced at other stores. The... More
