I'll say right up front that I don't recommend the Pumphouse. It's very expensive. It was $246 for two days for three of us. This is a fairly low end water park in the middle of nowhere (4 slides, a small surfing pool, hot tubs, lazy river and a few other nic-knacks), not Disney World! In addition, you're going to get nickel-and-dimed. Lockers are $9 a day (more on this later), food is expensive and bland (chicken nuggets, burgers, and Fries) or you can go to an upscale cart called, (this is really what it's called) Miso Hungry, and pay $40 for 3 bowls of Ramen. My beer was $10. I looked into staying at the lodge overnight but that was over $400 once all the taxes and fees were added, appropriate for Boston, not Jay. We ended up at a $100 a night Airbnb that was very nice. All in I spent around $600, including meals and accomodation..
For these reasons alone I would suggest you should go only if you limit yourself to 1 day and not stay overnight (it's not exciting enough for 2 days), then it might be worth it. However I had a strange experience that will ensure I never return. The $9 locker requires a $20 key deposit. Since we were staying for 2 days, I kept the locker key overnight. When I came in in the morning, I wanted to ensure that we still had the locker, so I asked and they said I could still use it but that I would not get my deposit back because I didn't return it at the end of the 1st day. I spoke to two seperate employees about this and got the same tune. When I mentioned that given those facts, I had no reason to return their key, they said they know. I suggested that this wasn't very safe for the next person because I would have a key to their locker, but they were not swayed. I am sure I am not the only key holder out there, so beware if you trust your belongings to them. When I told them I was planning on writing about my experience they said that was 'understandable' (that's a quote from the employee who kept my deposit). I've been to the water park in Queensbury, New York and I would recommend that one or Bromley Mountain as an alternative. Good luck!

Never again, we spent 4 days there from Jan 1st to 5th, 2020 and the pool area was dirty every day and smelled of pee. The rooms were not clean when we got it we were supposed to get our room at5 we got it at 8:30 and it hadn’t been cleaned, the sheets had blood on them the bathroom sink had old toothpaste in it the room smelled bad too. The carpets weren’t vacuumed. And the only thing they said was well it’s our busy season. I give this place 0 thumbs up. I’ll never go back there

We went here because it was HOT outside. I would go there again it was good that it was indoors because at one point it started raining.
First we went on the lazy river. I liked how it had waves which added to its enjoyment. I could have gone on that all day.
Next we went on a water slide. These were fun.
There is a portion of the slides which are dark. My suggestion is to avoid these with young kids ages 1-5 .
We enjoyed the blue slide best. It was fast!
We also liked the basketball hopes and rock walls.
I would highly recommend this water park

Stayed the weekend at Jay Peak Resort, the AC in the hotel was poor or non existent for many that stayed with the wedding party guests! Also…the hotel does not have any wash cloths or cleaning service if staying more than one night? The cost was high for the hotel and the Pump House.
The lazy river was closed, and the water park shut down early one day as well. Would not go again. Save the money!

Not impressed. You have to read the fine print to see that check in time is 5 pm. We are still not in our room yet. Kind of makes the water park passes pointless when you have to cart around your luggage all day then check in while you’re soaking wet and freezing cold. No chairs inside the park, no one working at the desk. The park is cute but I feel like they try to hide it’s a bit of a rip off.

Upon driving to this incredible waterpark, you drive thru sleepy little towns and countryside scenes. Its as if, someone played a cruel joke on you and there really is no water oasis out there!
Alas, "poof", it appears out of nowhere. An upscale ski resort with a swimming oasis all in one.
We stayed at the Hotel Jay (there are a few options) but Hotel Jay is HIGHLY recommended since it offers direct access to the waterpark which is quite handy to walk right to your room from the park.
We went on a Saturday and it was very busy. That being said we arrived a bit later than opening and found alot of the chairs taken up but we looked around for maybe 5 minutes and found one to drop our towels and stuff near.
I saw a few complaints about not enough chairs but this place is full of chairs and really has no more room for more chairs. Bottom line: Get there early or expect to not have chairs. Don't you go to a waterpark to swim and have fun anyway!?
We personally tried EVERYTHING including the "Chute" and the boogie wave board. surpisingly some of the slides like the "Chute" and the Orange slide the first time were a bit of a shock to our system as they are FAST with twists and turns however, the 2nd and 3rd and further trips to all the slides got better as you knew what to expect.
The green slide is the mildest, then blue, then orange, then the "chute".
The "chute" is like nothing I have ever experienced. You basically climb stairs forever it seems and then stand in a "pod" that counts down "5, 4, 3, 2, 1.....whooosh!!!!!" The floor drops out and you literally drop straight down this slide which has a few twists and turns. It is basically over in about 5 or 6 seconds but the rush is UNBELIEVABLE!
Even with the crowds, we were able to go on the slides multiple times. The most we ever waited was maybe 10 minutes with an average wait of 5 minutes or so. You have to understand that the lifeguards need to space everyone out to avoid people crashing into each other which inevitably causes delays. This is to be expected and is SAFE. I surely don't want someone crashing into me on a slide so this is not even an inconvenience.
There were "cabanas" throughout the park that a family could rent for the day which looked pretty cool.
They had chairs, tables, and a big screen tv in each one.
I did not inquire as to how much these were but will ask today and i'll try and update this post.
Last few points, you can't bring outside food or drinks in as they have their own snack bar and adult refreshment bar which was adequate.
I've also seen people on here complaing about slippery conditions..........well..........its a water park!!!!! I witnessed throughout the entire day, about 5 people appear to slip (no one fell)........guess what? They were ALL running!!!!! Common sense needs to rule here. Walk slowly and in control and with the knowledge that every spot you walk on is wet and you will be fine.
Last but not least: There is a HUGE screen TV up on the ceiling. We kept track of the NHL playoffs while having fun sliding. Very cool!
Oops....almost forgot....the lazy river. Very adequate pace, not too slow and not too fast but it was definitely packed throughout the day. We enjoyed it about 10 different times but expect to bump into people every once in a while.
FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic way to spend an entire day and for $35 per adult and cheaper for kids, not a bad way to spend a few bucks.
One of the funnest times we have had as a family.
Definite repeat...as a matter of fact, we arew going back today!

After having a horrible experience with the food at jay peak we headed to the pumphouse water park. As soon as we got in the water we were told to get out due to poop in the water. My family watched for an hour as an employee fished turds out of the pool. Perfect vacation. The food was bad, the service was worse. Swimming in the Charles river seems more appealing than going back to this place.Save your money! Overall horrible experience, it's obvious the owners of this resort don't care about their employees. These people do the bare minimum to make this place a resort. Overall I paid too much and got too little. Leave this resort for the Canadians. There are better places to spend your money than at Jay Peak resort. If you do go, be sure you're up to date on your shots because this place is gross.

The Jay Peak Pump House water park could have been so great. Unfortunately, a couple of things really detract from the overall experience - at least on a busy day.
We were at the water park on a Sunday and Monday. It was the beginning of Quebec school vacation week. The water park was absolutely mobbed. I don't know what capacity is, but it's well beyond a manageable amount.
While the rides are great, there are some major drawbacks:
1) The check-in line snaked all the way down the hotel corridor. We got there early, so I don't know how long a wait it was, but it appeared to be about a half an hour.
2) You can't buy day tickets online. I saw at least one person get turned away after driving an hour to take her daughter to the water park on her birthday.
3) The changing facilities are an absolute joke. What architect designed ever approved this? Both men's and women's facilities are unjustifiably small. In the men's room, I counted three urinals for about 1,000 guests. The lockers are very small, and things get thrown everywhere. What little space there is to change gets taken up by boots and coats that are strewn about.
4) There is no automatic child abduction check. If Chuck-E-Cheese has this figured out, why can't the water park? Each child should get a bracelet with a unique number that matches their parents. This would not be hard to implement and would make parents much less on edge.
5) There are about half as many chairs as are needed. We saw people forced to eat their lunch on towels laid on the wet concrete floor. There is a huge bar area, which would have been perfect for lounge chairs. Presumably Jay Peak would rather allow bar patrons to watch water park guests desperately search for seats.
6) There are a couple of serious choke points. The entrance to the lazy river is a prime example. The line for the water slides backed up into this area, making it a madhouse.
7) There is no wave pool - or any actual relaxing pool for that matter. The closest thing they have is filled with basketball players and rock climbers.
While there are a lot of positives, until the park addresses changing facilities and increases seating capacity, I cannot recommend a visit on a busy day.

Had high hope for this family vacation. Skiing was good, the Pump House was Dirty, had a strong Musty Smell and Changing Room had PILES of USED Towels on Floor. Look like no cleaning for days. We visited mid-week, non holiday, therefore no excuses.
Complaints to Jay Staff were a Waste of Time. The Jay Staff couldn't careless. It was if they heard these complainants many, many time before! STAY AWAY

We just got back from a day at the PumpHouse! We traveled with a 16 yr old and a 5 yr old. Everyone had a fabulous time. We could not stop riding the tubes and I think my husband went down La Chute 5 times! To the person who said there were no hairdryers, they must have just added them on because at least in the ladies room, there are now two. As far as the bulky clothes, we got a locker for our smaller stuff and then put our big coats and boots under our lounge chairs. We were also impressed with the food at the snack shack. The food was great and reasonably priced vs what you would find at most resorts. We are definately going to be going back!

Pourquoi il est indiqué « Définitivement fermé »? Je ne vois nul part sur le site que le water Park est fermé.

Written September 2, 2019
Of course, you can put them on your lap while you sit on the tube.

Bring Canadian money. It is accepted at par for the entrance. Will save you the exchange. You can pay Canadian for food at a decent exchange rate (Not at par).

Hi there. Yes, you can absolutely go there without staying at the hotel, and yes there is an entrance fee. About $41 for adults, $31 for kids, and $10 if you're just there to supervise.

I'm going for a Saturday to Sunday stay and would like to know about the cabana rentals. I see that one can be rented for the day. Is there a discount for overnight guests? How much is it? And what does it come with - any snacks or drinks?
Written July 13, 2017
Sorry, I have another question. Since we are going in the summer- it looks like a lot of the restaurants are closed for the summer season (I just went on their website) I'm starting to worry about that. Can someone please tell me what restaurants are open? Is their a food court kind of thing in the pump house for kids to get burgers/ hotdogs/ chicken fingers, etc? We booked the Hotel Jay- a splash & stay package. Thanks!
Written April 26, 2017
There is a snack bar with exactly the items you mentioned and sandwiches, salads, drinks, ice cream. You may not bring outside foods and drinks into the pump house. Our grandkids were very happy with what they had to offer.

Anyone ever go to Jay Peak in the summer? My kids talked me into booking 2 nights during our summer vacation to Vermont this year. (the ads for the pump house hooked them!) But I'm having second thoughts. What do you guys think?

Is it advisable to book online or in other words, is it too crowded that I need to pre-book to ensure we are not turned away.
Written February 13, 2017
It was crowded when we were there (xmas holiday) but no problem getting in. I was told that you can add the ticket to your room and it is cheaper. We just bought each day as my husband was a grump and did not join in each time.
