My comparision experience on a ferry in another state was not good and was pleasantly surprised of how well this was run. Wonderful to get out among the sailboats on a picture perfect day. You can walk up a level for some great viewing. Note cash only for this route.

We stayed for four nights on a site near the playground. Beautiful grassy site, large, and plenty of room between sites. Easy walk to the beach. Nice area to ride bikes. Firewood for sale, wifi available at office. My only complaint is that it was loud one of the nights with the fields/playground nearby.

Perhaps my review is biased from having just left a run down and understaffed state campground in New York, but we were very impressed with this site in Vermont. Although no hookups, the bath facilities were clean and the pay showers were hot. Lots of staff doing maintenance and lovely flower beds all around. The $1 coffee in the morning... More

We had a great week camping at Grand Isle State Park. The campground is super clean and quiet at night. Beautiful flowers and a nice waterfront (except remember your beach shoes, no sand just rocks).

I've been spending two weeks around the Fourth of July for ten years. Of the 40 or 50 tent camping camp grounds I've visited, this one is in a class of its own. We have a lean-to 60 ft above Lake Champlain with more than a quarter acre wooded site...plenty of privacy, beautiful views of the lake. Lots of things... More

Love coming here, friendly clean and quiet. Sites are big and at a great price . We have been coming here for over 25 years.

Our family spent 3 nights here and enjoyed our time in the park. Our site (1A) was quite large and a quick walk to the bathrooms, however, we did not have a view of the lake as I had hoped. Unless you're in a lean-to, I do not think there are any lake view sites. Also, there are NO hook-ups... More

Quiet camping with a lot of privacy and space between sites. The beach is at walking distance. Wi-Fi spot available. Showers could be cleaner and our first shower was cold as ice but it was ok the next day.

Love to camp here , very clean & friendly. My favorite park. Love to take my grandkids here, they have plenty of activities for the kids to do. The best part is just relaxing next to the camp fire !

A great place to camp, right on the water, and cabins and campgrounds. What a fun place. I did not get to camp but I spent the day with friends and went paddleboarding. It was a very nice place, the staff was extremely friendly.
