About
Cold Hollow Sculpture Park is closed for the season. We will reopen June 13, 2020. We look forward to seeing you then! Cold Hollow Sculpture Park is a 200 acre farm that showcases the work of artist David Stromeyer. Open Thursdays-Sundays Noon-6PM, late June-early October. More: Cold Hollow Sculpture Park offers visitors an opportunity to stroll five, rolling meadows on which are sited some fifty large-scale sculptures representing selected examples from four decades of work by nationally-known artist, David Stromeyer. Inspired by the rhythms, forms, patterns, and undulations of the Vermont landscape and committed to integrating his sculptures with the landscape, Stromeyer and his wife, Sarah, welcome all who wish to experience these works in their quiet, contemplative Cold Hollow setting.

This sculpture park is amazing. Do not miss it if you are anywhere close by. (Stowe, and north or even if you're in Burlington.) It's free, so you don't have to worry if you only have 45 minutes, but 1.5 to 2 hours is better. There is a lot of variety even though all sculptures are by one artist. Some incorporate rocks from the property and others are brightly painted. It's very impressive work. There are various places to sit and ponder and the visitor center provides helpful information when you arrive.

Nestled among the farmlands of the Green Mountains is a Sculpture Art Park that spans several acres. A clean bathroom, hand sanitizer, and potable water are available. A friendly person orients you to the artist and collection. Admission is free. Donations are welcome. Plan to spend 2-3 hours here. Wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, bug spray and sunglasses. Fully charge your phone and camera batteries. Bring snacks and water. Picnic tables and benches are available. There are lots of sculptures to view. Have fun. This visitation is really neat. Assess your fitness level before you go. This place is not set up for the non-ambulatory visitor.

Cold Hollow Sculpture Park is a hidden gem. We were so very pleased to have discovered it. David Stromeyer’s work is so impressive and we loved the way he plays with perception making steel into things we would never have imagined. We were given a map showing where, in the 30 acre park, to find each piece and it’s number. Then, in a little catalog, we found the number and read aloud David’s description of the work. Such an unexpected pleasure. We hope to return next year.

What a surprise was waiting for us! Tucked away in northern Vermont, way off the beaten track was this beautiful park. The fields are home to amazing sculptures-- huge flights of fancy and engineering, in bursts of color. We took a picnic and did not rush, walking from sculpture to sculpture. We felt welcome to explore, and it was easy to get additional information about Mr. Stromeyer and his work. This was a most unusual experience; we are so happy we went.

This amazing sculpture park is tucked away in north west Vermont near Enosburg Falls. Across acres of rolling hills an extraordinary area of sculptures are carefully placed in relation to both each other and the landscape. Many are massive and their true size is only apparent when close up. You are free to wander around and to picnic if you wish. There is a self guided leaflet, a toilet but not much else however the power of the site doesnt need anything else.
It is open from June to October, Wednesday to Saturday in the afternoon but check the website to be sure and to get the address.
If at all possible go when the artist himself, David Stromeyer, is leading a tour.

This was a great way to see both terrific art and wonderful countryside all at once. We only had an hour before they closed -- two hours would have been better. We'll be back!

We were passing through the area on a vacation in late September and decided to stop at Cold Hollow Sculpture Park. We were welcomed by artist David Stromeyer's wife Sarah, who introduced us to the outdoor park and gave us a map and guide to the sculptures. We spent the next 2.5 hours exploring over 60 colorful steel, concrete, and stone creations. They can be experienced from many angles. Many can be experienced from the interior of the creation. The sculptures, their titles, and the information about them in the park guide are all thought provoking and inspiring. It was fun to wander by the workshop and hear the sounds of the artist in the creative process. A clean restroom and available water were icing on the cake. Our expectations for the visit were far exceeded! I highly recommend this place to anyone, but it will probably be most satisfying to people who are able to explore the large park on foot.

My husband and I drive past this drive at least once or twice a month on our way to the Eastern townships. We figured it was a school or maybe a private studio, wow were we wrong! Absolutely fantastic FREE and open to the public 35 acres to roam, explore, and enjoy. There is a parking area where you will leave your vehicle and check in at the visitors barn. A very kind gentleman we met there gave us the history on the property and what the artists vision has been here since the 70's
Pack a picnic and go enjoy wandering around, reading about each of the massive sculptures and taking in the views.

Was driving around the Enosburg Falls area on a cloudy day and googled what there is to see or do there. Came across this Cold Hollow Sculpture Park which is a one-artist (David Stromeyer) exhibit of very amazing beautiful multi-colored steel sculptures placed all around acres of meadows. Each sculpture has a name and a little story which you can read in the brochure you get at the barn-like visitor building when you enter. It's lovely to walk around and enjoy his work. There is a picnic bench at the entrance you can use, and the nicest, cleanest porta potty I've ever seen! A lovely stop to make if you're in the area. The place is easy to miss so be sure to google the address and you'll see a large sculpture of letters at the entrance. (I think CHSP)
