College move in day activity

Perfect place to visit while our freshman set up their room. Brought a bunch of apples to the dorm. And some festive gourds for festivities for Halloween. Owners were very helpful and let us taste all of the varieties.

My favorite fall activity
Oct 2018
Happy Valley Orchard is a great place to go for fall fun. I especially enjoy their collection of heritage apple trees- there's always something new ripe to try. The cider and cider doughnuts are also great.

So great we went twice

This is a great place. We purchased so many donuts. We bought personal ciders the first time but ended up buying 2 gallons the second time. Apples are by weight from u pick. I purchased alllll honey crisp and they are so delicious. The owner is amazing. Her sister is also fantastic. Such friendly people. They let my husband take his drone up to get shots of the orchard. Such beautiful grounds. Highly recommend a visit. They are so reasonably priced as well

What did you think, these things grow on trees?

Is there a better way to spend a few sunny October hours than picking apples? (Okay, at a bar watching the baseball playoffs, but that's another review.) Grab a bag and select from the rows and rows of different kinds of trees (I never even knew that many different apples existed), or just get the pre-picked ones—all for incredibly reasonable prices. Their cider is the best ever. And the donuts are pretty good, too. A great autumn experience. Near Middlebury.

Best cider donuts ever
Oct 2014 • Friends
We were in Vermont for peak foliage season and wanted cider donuts above anything else. While we were getting directions (we were lost -- easy to do in VT), we asked about cider donuts. We were given fantastic directions to Happy Valley Orchard and we were not disappointed. The cider donuts were still warm and so incredibly good! We each had 2 and it took a lot of will power to not buy (and eat) more. Great cider too. Their produce is so fresh. We didn't have time to pick our own apples, so we bought from the already picked & bagged display. This is a definite stop if you're anywhere near Middlebury -- or if you're like us, from anywhere in Vermont. Fantastic family fun.
