About
Bonnie’s Bundles Dolls offers a home gallery in a historic stone house where visitors can see and touch nearly 50 original cloth dolls with hand embroidered faces - both real eyes and motifs, all dressed in layers of old-fashioned calico clothing. Artist Bonnie Watters with her cottage industry team of Vermont stitchers have made and sold over 14,000 dolls and calico animals over 48 years (43 in Chester). Workshops, sewing lessons and craft kits are available.

Like the review by Danny, my wife being a doll maker came across Bonnie's Bundles in Yankee Magazine and other brochures. During one of our many visits to Vermont we decided to stop. Well believe it or not five dolls and a cat later we have become friends through the generious hospitality at her home and shop. One doll was a special made with cats for eyes and the cat was for our then cat Kailey. Can't say enough for the quality and craft put into each doll. Bonnie and Lew have become a part of our lives always reminded with their dolls around the home and rememberance of how our cat loved to sleep by her dolls. Bonnie is a true crafter as she puts not only her skill but her whole self into her products. Can't say enough but it's worth the visit to Chester, Vermont.

As one travels North through Chester on Rt #103, the unmistakable "Stone Village" hosts several beautiful stone homes; one of which belongs to Bonnie's Bundles Dolls. This is a MUST stop and see! Bonnie is a wonderful lady and a real pleasant person to chat with...and she hand makes these incredible custom dolls! We have had several guests from our Inn come back with beautiful dolls for their kids or grandkids. I like to call them heirloom treasures. Worth the stop!

Bonnie's Bundles is a great place to stop in the historic Stone Village in Chester. There are many beautifully designed and unique dolls on display. Although several were readily available, we asked Bonnie if she could make us a custom "celebrity" doll. She was happy to make us a Ruth Bader Ginsburg doll, a celebrity that is meaningful to us. When she completed the doll and presented it to us we were thrilled with the incredible likeness to RBG and the detail of the eyes, glasses, hair robe and collar. We fully appreciate Bonnie's talent and proudly display her RBG doll in our home.

From a small advertisement in Yankee Magazine, I ordered a wonderful, hand-made doll for my wife. What a surprise when she saw it. Five dolls later and at least three visits to the dollmaker's home/workshop, we now have two treasured friends (Bonnie and Lew) in Chester, Vermont. Our trips to Vermont from Mississippi are always made extra special when we are able to stop by for our visits. Bonnie even created a special motif doll for us honoring our two beloved Welsh Corgi's that brought tears to my wife's eyes. Purchasing dolls from Bonnie has become an annual treat. The love that goes into each doll is evident and long-lasting and enhances one of the most special gifts that anyone can give/receive. If you travel to Vermont, you must visit Bonnie's Bundles workshop in the old Stone Village of Chester, Vermont. It will be an experience you will always treasure and will hopefully result in the purchase of a new member of your family and the development of two new friends, as it did for us.
