If you are in the area during mid-late summer, this is a nice spot to visit. It's not far from all the other Charlotte attractions, so this is a good place to start your day. They have wild flowers planted out back of the building and a trail that takes you through the woods, but I wouldn't go out there without bug spray because the mosquitoes are plentiful. You can find all kinds of stuff for your garden.

This is just a store. The attraction is their little nature walk through the wildflower field. That part was nice, but bring bug spray if you continue through the woodsy part of the walk. We were eaten alive by mosquitoes in just five minutes. The store had some unique and interesting items like huckleberry jam. Plus lots and lots of seeds. If you go to the Echo Aquarium in Burlington first, you can get a coupon sheet that has a discount for any purchase here.

We were in the area so decided to stop by. It was a very hot day and the wildflowers were quite wilted. The gift shop is nice, and we received a free wildflower seed packet with our purchase. There is no water fountain or real bathroom. The porta potty in the parking lot was quite unpleasant. We were out of water, so we bought a couple of bottles for $1 dollar each. The trail went through the wildflower field, and then into the woods for a bit and by a marsh. To get much of a walk in you would have to do the loop several times.

used a large bag of midwest mix for fall planting. A few small wildflowers came up early and then all I got was monster (8 ft) sunflowers and queen annes lace and fery few of the pictured wildflowers. Been doing this for over 40 years and never had an experience like this. Contacted them and it is all my fault for rototilling and stiring up weed seeds. Wrong, since what I got was not weeds. Offered me a discount on more seeds but I would rather pay full price elsewhere.

I went here years ago and loved it. Beautiful fields of all kinds of flowers and plaques with the names of
the species. Really nice gift shop too. Drove by today and it is an empty building and just grass, no more flowers. The only thing remaining is the name on the building. Very sad. I don't know what happened, as I live out of state and just visited while here on vacation.

Hi and thank you for your review. We are not out of business. We sold the Charlotte property in January of 2017 as we outgrew the facilities. We are in the process of transitioning to a new larger location. We are in business and available online, mail order, catalog, and by phone. This information is on our website in the 'About Us' section but perhaps you missed this!

Stopped here with my wife and my cousin and his wife to view the Wildflowers. We walked through a field and through a forest and pond to view and identify Wildflowers. After the walk we visited the gift shop to buy seeds for our own wildflower gardens. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your review! Yes, we sold our Charlotte property in January of 2017 as we outgrew the property. We are in the process of transitioning to a new larger location. In the meantime, we are working from our annex store. This location does not have retail and only small gardens. We are open by appt. only for customer order pick-ups at this time.

Interesting store with lots of different wildflower seeds, plus a nice walk through a wildflower garden and into the woods. Worth a stop if you like to garden or want to learn about wildflowers, but not a 'must-see' stop in general.

This was one of the best places we stopped on our visit to Vermont. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We found their prices to be very competitive and the garden tour was charming! We bought a whole load of seed while we were there, planted it when we arrived home and are beginning to have blooms! We highly recommend!

We recently walked around the Vermont Wildflower Farm and thoroughly enjoyed it. The very level, easy-to-follow path goes past fields with wildflowers (signs explain different varieities) and then passes through some woods before re-emerging by a small marsh near the entrance. Along the way, we were mesmerized by tiger swallowtail butterflies flying in the fields and by the croaking of frogs in the marshes.

Though it's only a 15-minute (or less) stroll from start to finish, the walk around the property is still a very transporting one -- an easy way to feel completely transported away from big city life.

The farm also had a bookstore and gift shop, which we didn't sample but which seemed to be well-stocked.

All in all, this was an unexpected surprise on otherwise busy Route 7, and we highly recommend it!
