We booked both the dinner and the lounge car since it was our 25th Anniversary and only time visiting New England. The staff was incredible from the phone call prior to purchasing tickets, all the way to the end of the trip. They went above and beyond to celebrate us and provide great service. We were given a rose and petals sprinkled in the table with a bottle of champagne. Food was good, and appetizers in the lounge car were fancy. The chef too my food allergies into consideration in preparation. The bartender was excellent, and the music was great! The only downside was there were many windows that were super cloudy and you couldn’t enjoy the scenery through them ... which is the whole point of the trip. We had to open the window and it was cold.…

Looking for something new and fun to do? We took a taxi from our hotel but its easy to find, 1 main st then walk down to tracks. We reserved our tickets and paid cash( exact change). Boarded past the bar/lounge car to our table. Every detail was lovely. Fruit in the ice cubes for your water, excellent meals, drinks, dinner ,who done it theater. Peak leaf season was over but the scenery was beautiful. The ride back was higher speed and a bit tricky to walk between cars .Highly recommended it, even just the dinner train. Keep in mind gratuity is not included with the package price.…

My wife and I have been wanting to do this experience for some time because we have heard from friends that it's outstanding and fun. Finally got around to it this past weekend and Wow ! aa great experience. The Staff was very friendly and accomodating The meal was top notch. Very relaxing with nice background music. We had a bottle of wine to start off the experience and we both had the Roast Prime Sirloin done just the way we like it with Yukon Gold whipped potatoes and fresh veggies. The salad of harvest greens was also very good to start the meal off. The train ride was very smooth and ran on time. Leaving Burlington we went along Lake Champlain just as the sun was going down. Beautiful. We have had dinners on Amtrak which were nice but nothing like this meal. What a great evening!…

3 LAYERS of clothing AND FREEZING COLD for my birthday celebration. When I asked about some heart it seemed like the AC was turned off briefly but then turned back on. The Food. I asked for hot sauce for my vegan roast butternut dinner. None was available. I had an adequate (luke warm, rubber skin) stuffed chicken dinner. Drink. I asked for a Jameson. None available even though it was listed on the drink menu. Dessert. Not sure what is was but it looked unappetizing. Our server brought over some chocolate covered strawberries - the best course of the meal. The Scenery: A brief view of the lake - the train slowed down for viewing - and lots of backyards. Staff: Pleasant, my husband left behind his favorite hat and sunglasses. They were very prompt in responding to his call though we have yet to receive them back.…
