Gary is a walking wikipedia of Burlington history. I doubt anyone could stump him! We made a last day decision to take his tour and he was very accommodating. We spent some time in Battery Park while he explained the battles that had been fought along the lake. Then, we drove all over Burlington in Gary's van that was clean and comfortable. Gary told fascinating tales of people and places as we passed by. I found this rather embarrassing because I grew up in South Burlington and knew nothing of any of this! We also give him special props for fighting for causes he believes in.

Gary is very informative, personal, funny, and knows his subject very well. We learned so much about Burlington, Lake Champlain and Vermont in general. Our tour was unhurried. We got our 10,000 steps covered in a very enjoyable manner. I highly recomend this. Thank you.

Gary is a font of knowledge about the area. We took the 2.5 hour tour, and didn’t regret a moment of it. We learned so much that we found ourselves talking about it the rest of the day. Later in our visit, we came upon some of the locations Gary had shown us, and his information allowed us to recognize the background of the spot and gave depth to our visit. Gary is more than a tour guide. His background makes him uniquely qualified to discuss the area, and we highly recommend the experience!

Good tour! We arrived at approximately 10 am and made our way to battery park where we began our tour. We learned quite a bit of history about the multiple battles fought on the lake, and their significance to the state of Vermont. We than started a mile long loop across Burlington, where we learned about various historical buildings, and the people who once occupied them. Gary was very knowledgeable about the history of Vermont and the surrounding area! The entire tour lasted roughly 2 hours.

Wow! Gary knows this place inside out. He explained everything from early history to this weeks 4th of July celebration. He took time to show us the things that make Burlington so special and never rushed us. From the beginning of our tour until the end everything was truly superb.

Mr. Gary’s History Tour of Burlington was fabulous! My Mom decided on the van tour, and what a great time it was. We traveled all around Burlington in AC, learning about the lumber industry, graves yards, ice houses, churches, Battery Park, Lake Champlain and so so much more. I had no idea there was so many cool things in little ol’ Burlington, VT. Mr Gary answered every question we had. I especially, liked the assorted stops we made, I was able to get out & stretch my legs. We even stopped for a creme ~** Note to self, when the others in the tour say, “ Aww we’re good” next time I’m speaking up! I sure would have enjoyed have a creme.
Seriously this is a must do tour!

Gary gave us the best history tour we have had after visiting a number of cities. The best prepared tour guide with a wealth of information. The van was extremely comfortable and he took us to locations we never would have thought of. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with Gary!

Greg Doremus is totally into providing a quality experience for his clients. He traipsed us all over the Burlington, Vermont area. Stowe was impressive because it is so different from Prince Edward Island, and really groovy because of the wealth collected in the area. Mid-November is not a time to watch skiers but one can imagine just by looking at the structures. Lunch was good, pleasant and relaxed in downtown Stowe, and being intrigued with the von Trapp official story it was rewarding to see where they settled.

Greg know the places we would be interested in and took us there. Ask him where to buy the cinnamon apple doughnuts! We had such a good time with Greg that he has an official standing invitation to visit us here in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
