Great way to get on the lake without spending a lot; be a passenger on the Charlotte ferry for a 20 minute ride across to NY and back. Pick a gorgeous day, bring the kids and enjoy the ride.

This was an additional touch to our getaway. It was a nice relaxing hour cruise. Our Poodle was able to enjoy the wind in his face and the wonderful scenery as long as he was on a leash.

Took the ferry to experience the view and enjoy the ride. Was a nice day, warm, sunny, slightly breezy. Trip took about 75 minutes in all. A little pricey though, $30 per auto/driver and $8 per passenger. Worth a one time experience if vacationing.

The folks on the Port Kent side were very friendly. Gave us a brief but informative history lesson of the area. Very nice Ferry Boat. Very pleasant ride and sight seeing trip across Lake Champlain. Very nice and an easy walk into downtown Burlington. You will enjoy the day!

What a wonderful business!!! We got lost going back to our campground and I am so glad we did. This ment that we got to take the ferry. At first we were reluctant because we thought it may be confusing, expensive and take a long time. If we did not take the ferry it would have been another hr drive.... More

A one hour car ferry ride across the Lake was a real treat for my granddaughter. We all enjoyed the water, the clouds, the downpour and the smooth ride. Staff is very friendly and the novelty of the ride plus the faster drive home by using the ferry was very much appreciated. The ferry was on schedule and had hikers,... More

The line-up began about 20 minutes before departure and we were number three. the total number of vehicles was 12 plus motorcycles and bicycles...not very crowded at all and room for twice as many if necessary. It was choppy and windy but not noticeable during the one hour crossing. It saved about one hour of boring driving. We stayed with... More

My boyfriend and I took a wrong turn going from New York to Vermont causing us to need to take a ferry across the lake instead of going around it. It was fairly inexpensive (about $15 I think, cash only but there is an atm there) compared to the Long Island ferry we take more regularly. We arrived just as... More
