We are local folks who have long looked longingly at the Friendship. With four grandchildren and their parents in tow, we boarded on a sunny afternoon. The captain and crew were relaxed and terrific with the kids, allowing them to try their hands at steering and to explore all parts of the boat. They were happy to answer questions from... More

We were greeted by the Captain upon arrival and welcomed aboard on a beautiful July evening. Set sail on time for a relaxing 2hr sunset sail on Lake Champlain. The crew fellow passengers were very friendly. The schooner was both large enough so we were not to crowded but also the right size so the experience was intement enough to... More

We went on the sunset cruise and couldn't have been more content with our evening. The crew was helpful and pleasant to chat with the area. We also enjoyed the other guests on our ride and the beauty of Lake Champlain. The sunset was perfect. Romantic, pretty, relaxing. No regrets - this was the perfect way to enjoy a summer... More

We loved being out on the lake and had a relaxing, enjoyable time. There wasn't much wind but we still enjoyed ourselves and the beautiful lake and views. Isaac and Hannah were very personable. Isaac let my niece steer and swim off the boat at the end of our trip. Even the two year old got to help "steer." We... More

We had a wonderful 2h sailing on beautiful Lake Champlain. Very informative sail and the crew is very experienced and was able to pick up every once of wind possible on an otherwise calm day. Captain Mathias Dubilier is very knowledgeable of the area and interacts very well with all kinds of passengers, maximum of 10, that makes a intimate... More

I was in town for a wedding, so I only had about a half-day to "see" the Burlington area. I can't think of a better way to do it than taking a sail with the Whistling Man Schooner Company. You really got a sense of the size of the lake, got to hear interesting stories about it and the area,... More

I remember seeing Burlington from the water for the first time and feeling so much more connected to it because of that perspective. I'm glad you enjoyed that too. -Mathias More

What a great time. We had a beautiful day, but little to no wind. The lack of wind meant we spent most of the trip motoring around and didn't get to go very far. But it was still enjoyable. Capt Matt and first mate, Evan, were wonderful hosts. We had about 10 people on our trip, so there was plenty... More

The captain and crew made our sail a very relaxing and entertaining 2 hours. There was a 6-year-old and an 8-year-old in our party who seemed to have a good time along with their parents.

Did the afternoon sail with family and friends and it was a beautiful relaxing smooth sail. Loved the the lake with the Adirondack panoramic scenery. Loved Captain Matteas' historical stories that were most interesting. Will definitely do the next time we're in Burlington.

The backdrop of the Adirondacks at the western shore of Lake Champlain is one of the most beautiful lake-and-mountain vistas I know. Glad you enjoyed it. -Mathias More

We had a great time on the Friend Ship sloop. Captain Mathias and his first mate were very knowledgable about the lake and surrounding area and had plenty of entertaining stories to share. It was humbling to be in the company of someone who is so passionate about his craft and we felt very safe in his company given his... More
