Diverse Directions produces and supports self-guided cycling tours in Vermont. Tour packages include: accommodation arrangements, inn to inn baggage transfers, on-road support, Route Instructions (cue sheets), maps, sight-seeing information, and GPS navigation files. We had an absolutely outstanding bike tour in the Green Mountains of VT, thanks to David Parker's great care, attention, and planning. David provided a customized itinerary for us, based mostly on the Green Mountain tour, due to our specific requests. The rides were great - he does a great job minimizing time spent on larger roads, with most of the time on small country roads with very little car traffic. These roads are essentially excellent "dirt" roads, but packed to nearly a pavement consistency. We nailed the fall colors - it was a gorgeous experience. David selected excellent inns for us and he made our dinner reservations, which was a godsend since we were there during peak season. The charming inns and inn keepers were a highlight along with the fabulous cycle touring. Amazingly, we never felt crowded by tourists and usually had the roads to ourselves. The route directions were great and very well scoped out. With both GPS files AND the tour booklet that describes the route down to each turn when changing roads (and at what mileage), we never felt lost of confused. David provided perfect service starting with picking us up a the rental car drop off in Claremont, through all of the suitcase transfers, bike rentals, etc. It was a great trip and we highly recommend David and Diverse Directions Cycling to support this vacation.

David was so helpful from beginning to end. Routes were perfect, hotels wonderful, communication terrific. We cycled for five days on a variety of quiet roads with great recommendations for places to stop and enjoy local lunches/coffee. Received early morning prompts each day with weather forecast and highlights of the day’s ride. David even adjusted routing mid-trip when we asked for more mileage as we were enjoying the rides so much.
Little things were all taken care of with efficiency and kind guidance: room selections; dinner reservations; bag transfers; first day meeting/briefing; post-trip debrief. Everything was perfect!
We recommend very highly!

David and Diverse Directions is by far the premier service of it's kind we've ever used.
Prior to our trip David asked all the right questions in putting together a great game plan for a four day bike ride, my young son's first of this kind. When challenging weather and an injury forced us to pivot, David was Johnny on the spot, with reroute, transport, help with bags/bikes, etc. I can't overstate how helpful he was, when we most needed it.
He arranged for unique inns, and had spot-on local reeks, including food.
We can't wait until our next trip back to Vermont and David/Diverse Directions!

Perfect in every way. Can’t recommend David and his services more. This isn’t the kind of trip you want to go at alone! David thought of all the details to ensure we had the perfect bike routes and maximized our time. His selection of inns was spot on- a variety of properties all different but all special (and with FANTASTIC food and amenities).
We were thrown a curve ball when we brought our family on the trip last minute, and David customized the bike routes to make them as kid-friendly as possible (which believe me is difficult with Vermont terrain).
Can’t say enough great things. Booking with David was the best thing we did on this vacation!

From the initial planning to the last Inn, working with David at Diverse Directions was a very positive experience. As we could not commit to the tours as offered, David modified the Green Mountain Vista tour to 3 days of biking - and it was incredible! David communicated promptly and clearly as we planned. Our bikes were delivered promptly the first morning (e bikes were great - made the 80 miles very doable and pleasurable); the 3 Inns we stayed in charming, comfortable and helpful. This was a trip with my 3 daughters - it was a perfect mix of exercise, gorgeous scenery (woods, mountains, creeks, farms) and relaxing. Between GPS and DD's route instruction booklets (printed) we never made a wrong turn. The majority of the biking was on "country roads" which provided never ending beauty. I highly recommend Diverse Directions!

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful and memorable, 4-day fall foliage self-guided bike trip to Vermont. David made the trip so special for us! From his clear and timely communications throughout our adventure, to the beautiful towns, Inn's, restaurants and sites he recommended. He provided excellent daily routes that included a detailed "trip kit" attached to the handle bars as well as a GPS tracking app we downloaded to our phones. David handled all the logistics to perfection! From our bike routes, room selections, dinner reservations and luggage transfers every aspect and detail of the trip was perfect. We plan on doing another trip with David and would highly recommend Diverse directions.

We are experienced cyclists and wanted a tour we were not paying for a lot of extra handholding, Diverse Directions was perfect. We did the green mtn tour, 30 miles a day for 4 days. Diverse Directions provides the daily route, books the hotel and transports your bags. If you get in trouble, they are only a phone call away to provide help on your route. And the routes they plannned were superb. I would have never found them on my own. Great trip, would use them again

We just returned from a fantastic bike trip. David's communication was great. Timely and very helpful both during the planning stages and during the trip. He was proactive when we needed to change our route and reservations right before the trip was set to begin. The bikes were in good shape and easy to ride. The daily updates and Strava routes were also appreciated.

We had a wonderful self-guided bike trip thanks to David and Diverse Directions. Not only were the routes scenic and interesting, but his route instructions made it easy to stay on track. David also made dinner reservations for us for a couple of places where advance reservations were needed. His recommendations for our lodging were excellent. We stayed in two charming inns and enjoyed incredible, gourmet breakfasts made by our hosts. Our rental e-bikes were quality bikes that allowed us to easily navigate the rolling countryside. I would highly recommend Diverse Directions for a no-hassle, enjoyable biking tour of southern Vermont.

David is a wonderful person and provides amazing service. Six “biker chicks” took a week-long trip around southeast Vermont. David listened to our needs, customized our route, and communicated thoroughly before we arrived. During our trip David anticipated our needs and really looked out for us. We had flat tire problems and he came to the rescue. Overall the trip was a perfect balance between being independent on our daily rides but having the support of David’s help, knowledge, and service. We had a fabulous time!!
