Went to a concert here for first time since moving to Vermont over twenty years ago. Really impressed with the facility. Small venue with really nice acoustics. Full bathrooms are on second level. Only downside was the beer wine table only had one person so it was slow to get a drink. But great venue and I’ll be back soon.

This historic performance space has been sensitively adapted for wheel chair access. Plenty of parking behind the building; make the first right past it and turn right again into a large parking area. Acoustics are generally good-except in the first 2 rows down front. Counter intuitive, but somehow the sound seems to "jump over" those first rows. Sight lines are generally good except from extreme sides. A lovely place to experience a play or concert.

Attended the Bela Fleck concert. Such a gem in Barre, Vermont. Great acoustics and comfortable seating. They should reconfigure the lobby for refreshments and open flow to get to the restroom during short intermissions. People stand around and block those wishing to move through.

I've seen two plays, two dance recitals, and a classical music concert here and have really enjoyed every show. The Barre Opera House is a great resource to have in town.

The Barre Opera House is a great mid-sized (600+) performance space providing a variety ranging from local dance recitals to world class acts, recently including the talented Robert Cray and the amazing Mavis Staples. Shows with intermissions have homemade cookies and a selection of hot & cold drinks for refreshments. Come witness something wonderful seated in a local treasure or just listen quietly for one of the several reported "phantoms" haunting this opera house.
