Amazing craftmenship on these stones. There is a car, soccer ball, block, and so much more. Even though it's a cemetery the artwork is amazing. We walked around and read some of the stones and the messages are amazing. Worth seeing.

Barre is the home of the granite industry, so in this cemetery you will see the monuments made by the granite workers for their own families. Some of the most interesting are the self portraits by the Italian artists. Part cemetery, part art gallery.

This cemetery is beautiful and the workmanship in the monuments is the best. Much of the craftsmanship, done many years ago, probably couldn't be duplicated today, but the level of work on these monuments is outstanding. It's a true showplace. It's definitely a "don't miss"...More

So many beautiful and original stones, you could spend hours here to see them all. Was even more interesting after going to Rock of Ages first.

Went to this cemetery after visiting the Rock of Ages granite quarry. It was amazing to see! To realize that a lot of the older stones would have been carved by hand was something else .

Completely awed by the craftsmanship. Beautiful afternoon, peaceful setting, surrounded by astonishing works of art carved into granite. Can't get much better than that.

After we did the tour of Rock of Ages we decided to go to Hope cemetery. We just drove around slowly to see the headstones and mausoleums. Quite a sight, and interesting if you are in the area.
