We went to the Enduro 200 this year for the first time and the kids loved it. If you are unfamiliar with this event, it's where they take 100+ clunkers, put them all on the track at the same time, and GO! They don't stop unless there is an unsafe situation, but otherwise there are tons of wrecks. The kids were thrilled. The food was okay but not that special and somewhat overpriced. Kids are free and adults were $15 which I thought was more than fair. You can bring backpacks and your own food and drinks apparently. Seating was easy to find even though this was a jam packed event. Bathrooms were an adventure. Would be nice if they build another set of bathrooms to reduce the traffic there, I would recommend though - it was a lot of fun.

It had been awhile since my last trip to the road. I don't plan on going again any time soon. The improvements are nice, the the food issues haven't been corrected from the last time. The cost is far from being realistic. For short track racing in New England, save money and go to a larger speedway. Didn't even stay the whole time.

We went with another couple to 2018 Governor’s Cup race (in which the Governor of Vermont actually drove his racecar and finished 5th!) in perfect weather last Thursday night. The place is hilly (as is much of Barre) so it’s a climb from the parking area to the concrete grandstand, or the bathrooms, or the concession stands. Walkways are paved. Track is paved too, and new lighting is great. Was it all worth $20 a head? Not so much. But on “regular weeks” the cost is much less. We won’t go again as it’s too long a drive for us, but if you’re in the area and like paved track racing, join the whole of Barre at Thunder Road any Thursday night in the Summer!

THUNDER ROAD HAS THE BEST SHORT TRACK RACING TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE!The track has new owners, that are committed to the track, and it's history of providing the fans,a racing card that's full of excitement every event. The new owners have already improved many things for both the racers and fans.I enjoy going to Thunder Road with my friends, and we always have a great time.

I must say ..it's been some time since I have visited my old stomping ground..So , we went to see what's happening with the new owners and management ..oh and brand new pavement.. Was it a great fun experience..no..but it wasn't bad either. Get there early as there still is very limited parking. The new management needs to work on the wait for food , lines were huge and the length and order of some of the races were unnecessary....a.lot of wrecks ..new pavement..I guess. The crowd was content to enjoy the fun and sun. NOTE : dandelion flowers were filling the air about us like snow on a early fall day.. mostly annoying.
