Horrible! Not dog or kid friendly, only because the ground is nothing but stickers/goat heads. The poor kids feel several times and went home with poke markers in their hands and knees the dogs couldn’t even walk outside without suffering from the thorns! Why even have a grass area if your not going to maintain it! At least put gravel or just have dirt and kill the rest. Nasty.

Nice shaded spot! Great walking trails. Quiet people.... clean. I would give it a 5 except for road noise from I-15 which I anticipated.... access to the refuge and other options for entertainment are there! Really enjoyed the stay!

Right next to interstate, absolutely cannot check in early even though our reserved site was open. Had to pay day use fee just to wait for check in time. Ugly campsite, Rocky beach, Nazi workers. By far the worst State park experience we have ever had IN ANY STATE. Stay as far away as possible. Trust me, do not waste your time. .

We booked a campsite for tent camping for one night. It’s so close to the freeway that we had to raise our voices to talk just 6 feet away from each other. We tried to fall asleep with our two children - 6 and 3.5. After an hour we realized it was just NOT going to happen because it was SO LOUD. My ears felt like they were ringing on the way home. Luckily we live about 30minutes away so we left our tent, and threw our essentials in the car to sleep at home and return for lake activities the next day. To be fair, we were in the row of campsites closest to the freeway, and in a tent, not an RV. If you can get one of the sites by the lake and you have an RV, I think it’s possible that would take some of the edge off and maybe it wouldn’t be too bad. We won’t ever be returning to find out. Also note the campsites are pretty close together. Definitely no privacy. But the traffic was so loud you couldn’t hear any noise they were making. 🤣 Pros: Very shady, lots of room for your car, nice fire pit and picnic table at each site. The bathroom was clean (North Marina). Unfortunately this all means nothing if you can’t sleep at night.

If I could give this a zero rating I would. 1 star is more generous than deserved for this hole of a campground. We were traveling through to the Pacific Northwest and needed a campsite for the night. I would rather have stayed at a Walmart parking lot. We stayed in south marina site 102 and it is one loop of pavement, looks like it was just boat parking spaces that they turned in to campsites. What we immediately felt when we got out of the truck was that this was an unsafe and disgusting place and we wanted to leave. If we hadn’t arrived later than expected we would have high tailed it out of here. Trash on the ground in our campsite when we arrived, the water came out brown and smelled foul from the freshwater connection so we didn’t dare use it, the bathrooms turned out to be just as nasty as we expected. Someone had pooped in the corner of the men’s room on the floor and covered it with toilet paper. There was no toilet paper left. I wouldn’t tempt fate to check the women’s side. People were smoking and playing loud music all around us. The air smelled so bad coming off the marina. There was a nice picnic table under a covered area in the campsite and a decent fire ring, but we decided to just spend our time in the trailer and get out at first light. We heard three car alarms go off, and we almost took turns doing fireguard duty overnight. The campground gates are locked from 10:00pm-6:00am, and it felt like we were locked in for a long night instead of others locked out for the safety of the campground. We were out as soon as the gates opened and we all felt this instant relief and sense of safety as soon as out trailer bumper crossed through the gates. It was the worst camping experience of my long camping lifetime. I’m not impressed Utah State Parks and we won’t be back to see if you offer anything better. I rarely leave reviews of places, but this one deserves every word. If you are considering this place do yourself a favor and keep driving!
