We did this drive as we were headed through Flaming Gorge and Ashley National Forest. There were some amazing formations to see. With its winding road and pull-offs along the way, there were many opportunities for fantastic photos.
Great place to see the various layers of rock that have moved around over the past few millions of years. The results are just fantastic, and sort of out of this world. Absolutely a must if you are in the Flaming Gorge region.
Unfortunately, the road was chained off about 5 miles in so we cannot comment about the entire road. Must not be the season yet. However, what we saw was more than amazing. We also saw BigHorn sheep, wonderful gurgling streams and the majestic canyon walls....More

One of the best drives in utah. Red rocks that you could reach out and touch. There is an app available that explains different aspects of canyon. It's free and worth listening to while going through canyon. Don't miss this drive. It's a must do.
