Great ride at Sundance!
Aug 2021 • Couples
Great ride to Stewart Falls. Scenery, horses and wranglers were all great. Will led our ride and was exceptional. Go for the hour and a half ride. Well worth it!

Sundance Halloween (COVID) Lift Ride 2020
Oct 2020 • Couples
They should rename this...Sundance Halloween COVID Rides. I went tonight with my girlfriend who has an auto-immune disease. Prior to purchasing tickets I called Sundance and was assured that masks were required by staff and attendees, the lifts were being sanitized and social distancing would be enforced. I also read that this was the case on the website, don’t believe them! Literally, NO ONE was wearing a mask, except myself and my girlfriend. Not even the Sundance employees. No one was social distancing and we were expected to pack onto a bus from the upper parking lot, to get to the ride. The ride itself was pretty fun, but I’m disgusted with Sundance for allowing what they did and not having employees set an example. Considering the fact that COVID cases are at record highs in Utah and all over the US right now, they should be ashamed of themselves! So, if you do decide to go, be aware of the situation, and maybe...break out your hazmat suit!

BEAUTIFUL Views
Sep 2019 • Couples
We decided to head out to the Alpine Loop from Park City. We decided to stop at Sundance....what an INCREDIBLE place! The views alone make it worth the drive amd we plan on going back to zipline. We met GREAT staff and rode both Gondolas to Bear Claw Cafe

Great Day Trip from Park City
Aug 2019
This was my third trip to Sundance while visiting Park City. It's an easy drive from PC, and it's beautiful. This time we took the 45 minute chair lift all the way to the top and had lunch on the summit - the views were incredible, and the nachos were pretty yummy also! There's a beautiful outdoor patio at the bottom of the mountain if you prefer not to do the lift. There are some pretty awesome (scary?) zip lines - the wildest I've ever seen. Mountain biking. Artist studios. Gift Shop. And a backdrop for the best pictures ever!

Great Hikes, eat at Bearclaw Cabin!
Jul 2019 • Friends
We were here in the summer time, took the lift up to do some hiking and then kept taking the lifts up to the very top to eat at Bearclaw Cabin. The views are amazing up there - full 360 views. Tacos and nachos were delicious.

Pretty, but awkward

This is probably going to be more a reflection on our poor planning than on Sundance, but it could have been a little better. Sundance is lovely, and my husband had a zip line activity with work planned up there. Last minute, I decided with the kids to also go up the canyon while he ziplined. We were just on time arriving, but found we had to go to the upper parking for the shuttle which would make him not on time for his zipline tour, so we decided we would just drop him off and he would jump out of the car. This happened to be near the round about and we embarrassingly held up traffic as it grew behind us.

When it came time to pick him up, using logic, I figured I'd get him near the round about where he jumped out of the car, but I couldn't find him. Parking attendants kept pointing me to the upper parking, which was not where I needed to be. I asked a worker where zip line tours exited; he was helpful and very polite. I drove back to the lower parking, went in a circle, didn't have a cell connection. Headed back toward the road to the upper parking, stopped near the lift field to see if I could see my husband walking around, got honked at by a Sundance car several times. I'd pulled over, out of the way, and didn't notice a sign that said no stopping or standing, but there very well could have been one, but there were a lot of signs and I didn't take time to read them all as I was trying to find my husband. I did a quick U turn as there was only the one car behind me (and he wouldn't go around, but would only honk) and no one coming down the hill, and then I got the "no-no" finger wave from the worker.

When I'd circled earlier, I'd noticed a few empty spots in the lower parking and took one. I left my arguing kids in the car and headed toward the buildings to get on their WiFi. Down the dark porch/corridor I spot my husband sitting in the shade. I'd looked down that area a time or two, but it was too dark to make out figures.

So, long story short, yes, we goofed our planning this day. We should have had a meeting place, but it would have been REALLY nice to have a pick-up/drop-off area for people not planning on staying more than a minute or two. Maybe there was one, but being unfamiliar with the area, I couldn't find it.

In summary, the 2 rating is merely because there's no easy pick-up/drop-off, but I'm guessing their other stuff is top notch.

We did not stay here but did nordic skiing, shopped and went to the Owl Bar.
It is a historic location with interesting pictures on the wall in the hallway.

Stay Away! Old equipment but like new prices. Old lifts that are not well maintained!
Feb 2019 • Couples
Old crappy equipment at modern prices. That is what you’ll get here. Robert Redford cool idea and cool concept, ruined by poor management and lack of customer care, just a money making machine. Their prices are a little lower than most resorts in this area but their few lifts are old, slow and poorly maintained. Both main lift were down for “maintenance” in the same week! Not down for a few hours, out of service ALL day! No apologies and no discount. You’ll have to take a bus that will drop you at a parking lot, then you’ll have to walk over 100 yards to the lift. Every time you ski to the base do this again! One driver will drive you to the lift but the other driver will make you walk, such a lack of care! Half of the attendants care, the other half don’t have a clue about customer service. With one out of the two main lift down the lines became long, the attendants won’t make a good effort to be efficient or expedited things. For the same money you can go to Solitude or Brighton. I won’t ever go to Sundance again.

Sundance Continues to Disappoint
Sep 2018 • Couples
My wife and I took my mom up to Sundance for an afternoon out and were completely disappointed by the whole experience. Started with lunch at the Owl Bar. Service was good, but all three food items were burnt/overcooked. Nacho chips and cheese were almost too crispy to be edible, and the other toppings were cool, mediocre, and just sort of lumped into a small pile on top of the chips. Flatbread was blackened around the edge of every piece, with the corners worse. I'm surprised the kitchen sent everything out, and that the servers and management didn't pull any of it.

Went for a scenic lift ride after lunch. Was told when purchasing the ticket we would be able to ride Red's chair but wouldn't be able to get off. At the end of Ray's lift we were told Red's closed at 4. I pointed out that it was 3:55, and the liftie just reiterated Red's closed at 4 and we wouldn't be able to ride further.

Disappointed that this is what Sundance has become. Prices go up and quality goes down.

Alpine setting and understated excellence
Sep 2018 • Couples
Just because it fits right into its western mountain setting without being ostentatious, don't underestimate the rustic charm that has been merged with exquisite taste and service for an unforgettable experience.
